Overview

UNALOME by Graeme Cheevers is a one-Michelin-star fine-dining restaurant at 36 Kelvingrove Street in Finnieston, a short walk from Kelvingrove Park. Glasgow-born Chef Patron Graeme Cheevers opened it on 2 June 2021 as his first solo venture, after retaining a Michelin star as head chef at Martin Wishart at Loch Lomond and earning another at the Isle of Eriska Hotel. The restaurant won one Michelin Star in the Michelin Guide Great Britain & Ireland 2022 (about eight months after opening) and is listed among Scotland’s starred restaurants in the 2026 Guide (The Scotsman; Michelin). It also holds three AA Rosettes in the AA Restaurant Guide 2026. Cooking is modern European with Japanese influences, built on seasonal Scottish seafood and produce — Orkney scallop, Loch Fyne lobster and langoustine, Highland red deer and farmhouse cheeses appear on recent sample menus. Guests choose a tasting menu (£155pp; taster wine flight £100, prestige £175) or à la carte (£120pp; wine pairing £80). The Kitchen Table seats up to four for an exclusive eight-course chefs’ menu at £200pp (prestige wine pairing £175; £100 exclusive-use charge if fewer than four). A discretionary 12.5% service charge is added. Book online via the restaurant’s visit page; card details secure the booking and you must confirm by email before arrival. Cancel or change with 72 hours’ notice or pay £35pp (lunch) / £80pp (dinner); no-shows are charged in full. Kitchen Table needs 14 days’ notice and must be booked by phone or email, not online. Open Wednesday for dinner only (last reservation 9pm) and Thursday–Sunday for lunch (12pm–2.30pm last seating) and dinner (from 6pm, last reservation 9pm); closed Monday and Tuesday. Dress is smart casual — no sportswear, flip-flops or casual shorts. Vegetarian options are on every menu; advise vegan or other allergies at booking. Children are welcome (highchair on notice; no children’s menu). The listed building has about 11 street-level steps and no dedicated wheelchair access; pets are not allowed except guide dogs. Sister restaurant LOMA by Graeme Cheevers is at Cameron House Hotel on Loch Lomond. Kelvinhall Subway is roughly a 10–12 minute walk.

It’s a splurge but it’s definitely worth the splurge. Good portions, incredible flavors, good drinks too and you will leave full. Don’t skip out on the cheese trolley!

To say that this meal was the surprise highlight of our trip is an understatement. From start to finish, the attention to detail, warmth, presentation and pure hedonistic dopamine release was mind blowing. I cannot heap enough praise on the chef and his team of rockstars. This is a restaurant to go out of your way to visit.

We had a wedding celebration small group here, and the service exceeded our expectations - really helpful and flexible staff, and the group of 9 had a fantastic time for the evening. The food was delicious, especially appreciated the veggie tasting menu. We enjoyed some unique wines that paired nicely, and the cocktails were all delicious. Would highly recommend! Thanks Unalome for treating us all to a lovely and memorable evening!

Delicious lunch with dishes of the highest standard coupled with excellent service. They create a lovely atmosphere which is relaxed and fun but still focussed on all the little details which you would expect from a Michelin rated restaurant. Comparing it to other similar places we’ve tried it really nailed this balance. The food was fantastic, allowing excellent ingredients to shine.
