The Lansdowne Indian Restaurant and Bar

This used to be one of our favourite bars. Now a very trendy Indian restaurant making very good food. Some of the best I have eaten. Staff very attentive and friendly. Great selection of dishes. Plenty of seats and a conservatory if you fancy sitting in there. Very nice seats to sit in while eating. Not everywhere has that.

I have come to The Lansdowne Restaurant twice now. Both times, the food was beyond compare, the service was excellent, and the atmospheric was both warm and inviting but still made me feel like my meal was a special occasion. The owner somehow managed to remember that I preferred my Long Island iced tea with lemonade and made it perfectly. My server, Wilma, was helpful in ordering less familiar dishes and patiently walked me through how Indians normally eat them so that my could experience the tastes and textures authentically. I cannot recommend this restaurant highly enough to capture how wonderfully delicious the food was or how kind the staff are.

Hands down best Indian I’ve ever had. The lamb was unbelievably tender. The sauces were so rich and tasty. The staff were super nice and helpful. The place was really comfy and just nice to be in. One thing I really liked is the great selection of beers and drinks. Usually Indian restaurants only offer bottles of either cobra or kingfisher but this place had loads of options on tap. Pretty reasonably priced too but honestly so so good and tasty. We’ll definitely be back when we’re in Glasgow next.

Food was really tasty. We got there just before the kitchen was closing but the team were great and the dishes came out for a strong finish! I got the garlic, chilli curry which was rich with flavor, a garlic naan and a pilau rice which was cooked so well with lovely mild spicing running through it. Shout out to the staff who were really welcoming as we got there just as they were about to stop service.
