I like this place and I come here often because it's local and has a nice ambience. Sometimes the service is just AWFUL though, like 45 minutes for 3 breakfast rolls and coffees, and really poor attitude re the delay. Then look at the attached picture! £4 for 2 wee sausages in a roll 😭

My partner and I were waiting for our sushi to be prepared in a restaurant next to this place. We decided to give it a try and have drinks while we waited as it looked like a nice venue. The waitress service was very good, but what a terrible surprise when my mojito arrived - one of the worst mojitos in my entire life. It was practically flat and warm rum and lemonade with an unusual flavor I could not identify. Decided to give the place a second chance and took a brownie away . . . What a regret! It was hard and very dry. I expected much more from this place, but I cannot recommend less.

Am glad this place is still on the go. Nice indoor and outdoor seating area and good coffee and cake. Staff are pleasant also. Sadly the burger reviews here are probably accurate. It’s not very refined though it looks good initially. It’s like an overcooked frozen thing on a really doughy bun and the hand cut chips are just giant fragments of potato which are not well fried and are kinda tasteless. A lot of food. Onion rings are excellent.

Just moved into the neighborhood so I thought I'd check out one of the local restaurants. Showed up at 8:50pm and was told dinner stops being served at 8pm, and that I could only order 1 drink. No one was there except my partner and I, and I can't help but feel like that's how they wanted it; an empty restaurant. It felt like we disturbed the two waitresses that were there just for showing up. So we left because we didn't feel welcomed. If the place stops serving dinner at 8pm and no one is there after 8pm just close at 8pm, not 10pm--save both the waitressses and the customers the trouble of being there. Nowhere on the restaurant's website did it say they stop serving dinner at 8pm, only that it starts serving dinner at 6pm. Anyway, that interaction alone put me off completely from ever going back.

I decided to have breakfast here. Probably the worst Eggs Royal which I ever tried, sourdough bread is so hard to eat ( as a stone),seems they didn't want to put any sauce on it , so poor quality. Coffee is the same story , you can't drink it, only after 10-20 minutes, because you can burn your tongue. The staff is another story , I feel that I'm not welcome there at all. No smiles from them, unhappy faces .
