Loon Fung is a Cantonese restaurant on Sauchiehall Street, at the west end of the city centre. It opened in 1971, and its website calls it one of Glasgow's oldest traditional Cantonese restaurants. The restaurant's site gives the address as 417-419 Sauchiehall Street, and other listings use 411-413. Dim sum is the main draw, made by hand daily. There is also a full a la carte menu and Cantonese roast meats. In its guide to Chinese restaurants in Glasgow, Vittles recommends the chicken feet in black bean sauce, turnip cake and satay whelks, and says many Chinese families from across Scotland have eaten here for generations. Dish Cult points to the crispy satay beef dumplings and Shanghai soup dumplings. Ron Mackenna gave it 25/30 in The Herald. He praised the char siu and roast pork belly, found the service efficient but old school, and noted that the dining room is big and lively, with karaoke now and then. At the time of his review, smaller dishes cost around £6 and a three-roast plate was £15.80. You can book a table through the restaurant's website.

Loonfungl Glasgow's Singapore Fried Rice (menu #297) features spiced rice, fresh vegetables, and prawns served wok-style at 417-419 Sauchiehall Street, G2. The dish includes shrimp cooked in garlic and soy sauce, carrots, peas, onions, and green onions, served on a black plate.
Authentic! The food was fresh, flavourful, every dish tasted authentic and perfectly cooked. The staff were friendly and welcoming, making us feel comfortable right away. The atmosphere was cozy and relaxing, great for both family dinners and casual nights out. Highly recommend! We’ll definitely be coming back.
Read on Google MapsThis is a great restaurant in the heart of Glasgow. Would be perfect for solo dinners through to big groups. The staff are really friendly and happy to help. We were in after 5 and enjoyed the pre theatre menu. I had the sweet and sour and it was great. I tried the chicken feet but must admit it wasn't for me. I'd definitely recommend this place for the atmosphere, service and food (just not the feet lol).
Read on Google MapsGood food. Lots of tables available. Good for both small and big groups. A variety of chinese dish to choose from and wont break the bank. The wonton soup was really good. The spicy chicken strips were a bit salty but other dish such as aubergine garlic were of good quality. Generous serving too. Fast and efficient service from staff. Not all wait staff speak English but they would call in those who are more fluent in English to communicate with us if there is anything we need. Toilet was clean but had a funny smell. All in all - food, atmosphere, staff were great!

Order stuffed smashed prawn with 3 kind vegs cost £19.50 hardly see the minced prawn need to use magnifying glasses to find where is the minced prawn, not enough sauce and too oily too. Another dish is Tong Choi with shrimp paste ( water spinach )over cooked too soft not crunchy at all even my granny without a teeth still able to eat it and also to much oil. Overall, extremely disappointed.
