Exceptionally delicious food in pure Italian style. Very flavorful and quite traditional. Good and friendly service in a pleasant atmosphere. Highly recommended if you're looking for something to eat in the area!

Visited over the weekend with my family after their rave reviews, and I can see why. It is such a beautiful place in the Southside of Glasgow, and the food was outstanding. Traditional Italian cuisine with fresh ingredients to give incredible flavours. The setting is comfortable and welcoming, and the staff go above and beyond to make sure you are looked after, even with some picky eaters in my party. I'd highly recommend the lobster and crab mac & cheese starter and their amazing Tiramisu. I look forward to going back again sometime.

Meant to review this last week when we came for the first time. However, probably the best review we could give is to come back the following week (today) and then decide to make it our new regular. The food and wine is absolutely sublime. It is a one of a kind restaurant with 10/10 service. The staff are absolutely lovely, especially Scott. See you next week!

First time visiting Battlefield Rest today and honestly we were so impressed. Everything we had was fresh, full of flavour and just really well put together. I started with the homemade minestrone soup — chunky, hearty and packed with veg. It tasted like proper cooking, not out of a packet. After that I had the fish goujons in breadcrumbs with little fried jacket potatoes. The goujons were light and crispy, not greasy at all, and the potatoes were the perfect side — fluffy inside, crispy outside. My daughter went for the focaccia caprese, which came with balsamic tomatoes, mozzarella and a red onion salad. It was so fresh and colourful, and the flavours really worked. She then had the special, spinach and leek ravioli, which looked and tasted amazing — delicate pasta and a really tasty filling. The place itself has a lovely relaxed atmosphere, and the food felt properly homemade and cared for. For a first visit, it couldn’t have gone better — we’ll definitely be back. Highly recommend giving it a try!
