A charming old-style pub with decent prices. The vibe takes me right back to The Clansman from my favourite show, Still Game: proper nostalgic and full of character. What am I like? Sounds like an old soul 😂😂

This is an old traditional pub in the heart of Glasgow's West End on great western rd. It can be very noisy with its highly male clientele. The atmosphere is old school with a great ambiance and good old homely comfort Service was great, friendly staff and nearly all the food was excellent. The batter on the fish and halloumi was really crispy. Best dish was the sticky chicken fillets which had a lovely tangy taste. The only dish that let down an otherwise excellent feast was the Mac Cheese which was insipid and lacked correct texture and taste. All in all a good culinary experience.

A popular pub with my friends in Europe and the UK, it was near my AirBnB residence while vacationing in Glasgow recently. I tried their macaroni and cheese with a side salad. Like most mac and cheese in the UK, it has no cheddar, just mozzarella, ricotta and parmesan. Still very good, and balanced with a green side salad. Service was great. I was welcomed and served promptly. Highly recommended for lunch or dinner. Parking is available as Great Western Road is a wide street, but I took transit and then walked there.
