Wawin Vegan Chinese is a 100% plant-based Chinese dark kitchen at 1–3 Scotland Street, Kinning Park (G5 8LS / G5 8NB). It is the brand’s first Scottish site, launched early 2024 as Deliveroo-only (Glasgow Live / Glasgow Times). There is no walk-in dining room — order for delivery via Deliveroo or the Wawin site. The pitch is vegan takes on classic Chinese takeaway: salt and pepper chips, chow mein (including vegan ham chow mein), dumplings, crispy aromatic “duck”, and a wide sauce list. Phone on listings is the national 020 3699 9977 line; call before ordering if you need allergen advice (they warn about egg/peanut/sesame/soy cross-contact risk and ask customers to phone first). Glasgow City FHIS Pass (inspection 21 May 2025). Sister kitchens include Leeds, Sheffield, Manchester, Nottingham and Brighton (York listed temporarily closed). West Street or Shields Road Subway are the nearest stops for Scotland Street.
Absolutely amazing! We had a takeaway but I wish we could have eaten in because I know the food would have been even better. The duck pancakes and combo starter (with things like battered “prawns” and “chicken” was amazing)! The noodles were OK but highlight was definitely the starters. Very filling!
