VILLAGE GRILL

Not enough staff for the size of the place. The staff were friendly enough but no sense of urgency with anything. Several tables with dirty plates and glasses left for more than 45 minutes. Staff bring your food out without cutlery so you then have to sit looking at your food until they eventually return with cutlery and condiments. Basic food which is expensive for what it is. Will not be eating here again.

Was nearby and saw they had a "£1 burger when buying a pint or glass of wine" offer so decided to give it a try. Don't bother - you'd get more value from a McDs value burger than this "burger" which was smaller than the palm of my hand. Waste of what could be a good offer.

Drink is absolutely horrendous prices £10.50 for a large wine 🍷 now surely a group of hotels this size can strike better deals with the breweries? Or maybe they are and keeping it for their profit margin! Entertainment was fab,swimming etc is good shame the bar and food prices let it down ,staff are superb

For the dinner a long wait for a steak overcooked, bad fries and tenders not crispy. Unprofessional young staff. For the breakfast, Fried eggs overcooked and really tinmuch salt, but a smarter staff. Good atmosphere at least.

Dreadful. Ordered the fish and chips (£16!) and what we were served appeared to be fish fingers and fries (most of it was batter too). Someone at our table asked for extra toffee sauce with her sticky toffee pudding (£7.50!) and the waitress had a bad attitude and stormed off with the remark along the lines of “the chefs don’t like it when people ask for extra”. Will not return.
