Visit websiteTopolabamba West End at 116–122 Byres Road, Glasgow G12 8TB was Hunky Dory Dining’s Mexican street-food bar — tacos, margaritas and the brand’s first brunch menu — in the former Whistler’s Mother. It opened late 2023 (SLTN Dec 2023; Herald reported a November opening) joining St Vincent Street and Edinburgh. Signature draws included breakfast tacos/burritos, Monterey margaritas, jalapeño poppers and a twin-bar bodega layout. Glasgow Times later reported the Byres Road site closed suddenly with fittings stripped and no official statement; the brand site now lists only Glasgow city centre (89 St Vincent Street) and Edinburgh. Diners wanting Topolabamba should use St Vincent Street; treat Byres Road as closed.
Lovely food (churros 10/10 must have!!!), friendly staff and nice atmosphere. I only wish they had some kind of deal for ordering the small plates - then it would be better value for money and worth the 5*. Everything else was perfect!

Read on Google MapsWhat a lovely restaurant on Byres Road! The ambience is just amazing, and the food was delicious. There's veg options, too and a large variety of cocktails and drinks. Their £10 student deal (burrito + drink + side) is also great for hangouts with friends. We went around 2 p.m. on a weekday and there wasn't much rush, so we got our food pretty quickly. Would love to revisit!
