Tina's Fish & Chicken Bar

Nothing hits the spot like a good chippy (why are they are as rare as hens teeth now?) If you've been looking for a chippy that remembers how to do it properly you've found it. Cherry on top you won't need to take a loan either to get a proper supper. Fish supper was generous, I'm a fatso and I'm full up. Haddock crunchy and crispy outside flaky inside couldn't fault it delicious, salt and vinegar was just right, chips were crispy and wrapped right. Sausage supper was the same. Glad I went down the street a wee bit to get it. Grew up in the area and been looking but so far have only had soggy fish, undercooked chips with microscopic salt and vinegar, almost thought nostalgia had tricked me into thinking that chippys were better when I was wee, but Tina's has proved that wrong. Fill your belly and warm your soul without costing yourself an arm and a leg.

There's a multiple award winning chippy where I live and it pales in comparison to Tina's. I'd rather make the 50 minute round trip to Tina's. An old school no frills chippy that serves fresh delicious food. Cash only!

Í don't understand how the place has been open so long because the food is mediocre at best. The chips are rubbery and always taste as though they've been reheated several times

So disappointing. The portions are TINY. I got the fish meal…. I finished the chips in half a minute, hungry after. Waste of money
