The Lemon Tree is a Chinese takeaway at 119-121 Great Western Road, near St George's Cross. The food hygiene register lists it as a takeaway rather than a sit-down restaurant, so plan on collection or delivery. The menu is standard Scottish-Chinese takeaway fare: salt and chilli, Kung Po, Szechuan, satay, sweet and sour, curry, foo yung, chow mein and fried rice dishes, plus Sriracha fried rice and noodles and all-in-one boxes. Listings show it open every evening from about 3:30pm to 11:30pm. Reviews are mixed. Some regulars praise the food, but several complain of long delivery waits. Its old website now appears to be offline, so phone 0141 333 1899 to order.
Absolutely horrible. They gave us old chips from last night fried, old stringy chicken and prawns. Whole family threw it up as they felt so ill. Disgusting chemical smell reeks from food, used to be amazing for years but the quality has gone so down.

Read on Google MapsVery small portion. Chicken was cooked but not well done, chicken satay skewer still had a pink discoloration. Food was floating in oil, extremely greasy. Delivery was 1hr30mins later than it showed on Uber Eats. If I hadn't got a discount, I would probably give it 1 star.

Read on Google MapsThe lemon tree has gone downhill in recent years both in terms of food and the service. To the owners. If you are going to promote your take away as one that offers gluten free at least have an area of the menu where I can see gluten free options. On a side note, the dude behind the counter who takes the orders needs to take a customer service course.
