Overview

The Bank Cafe Bar on Clarkston Road in Muirend – where elegant meets relaxed, and sport meets good food in the kind of place that knows exactly what it's doing. With a solid 4.5 rating, this isn't just a pub – it's a proper local that's sorted itself out proper. Open from 11am until 11pm every day (because early starts and late finishes both need accommodating), serving food from 11am right through until 9pm. This is the kind of place where you can pop in for a coffee in the morning, grab lunch with colleagues, enjoy a family dinner, or settle in for watching the match with a pint – and it works brilliantly for every single one of those things. They're best known for being the go-to spot for live sport in Glasgow, but don't let that fool you – they've got a wide variety of meals that'll suit absolutely everyone. It's tastefully done, beautifully presented, and has this elegant appeal that makes it perfect whether you're having wine with friends or just looking for somewhere that feels a bit special. Located at 443 Clarkston Road, The Bank has built a fantastic reputation in the community as both a great place to eat in Glasgow and a chilled, relaxed atmosphere for catching the sport. They're offering bookings for parties and regular tables too, which means they're taking the whole hospitality thing seriously. This is proper pub grub done right – nothing fancy for the sake of it, just good food, good drinks, and a great atmosphere. Because sometimes you need a local that gets all three sorted.

Staff are fairly friendly and attentive, and their selection of beers and local drafts are decent. They are a bit pricy though at £5.75 a pint. However, the food leaves alot to be desired. I've eaten various items from the menu over the years and it hasn't gotten any better. Seems like poor quality food that they must buy in cheaply and just whack on a hot plate or microwave. Would not recommend the food at all.

Grant who welcomed us and sorted out an issue we had with a voucher was outstanding. His customer service was one of the highest I have ever experienced. He alone would make me come back and also watching him interact with other customers was a joy to see. 100/10 Grant

We visited on a very quiet Tuesday evening. Food was anticipated pub food. Burgers tasty but fries were quite a small portion. Pizza's were very doughy and lacked filling to crust. Our waiter was Steven. He was very polite, attentive and ensured we were served our food and drinks promptly.

Surprisingly great pub food for Glasgow. Nothing like your normal Wethersoons/Hungry Horse, the burger here had an amazing crisp bun on it and tased so fresh. I also had a slice of the sticky toffee pudding which was very delicious and well presented. It was order at the bar, however the staff were very pleasant and welcoming, bring the food to the table and checking in that everything was good. The atmosphere was pretty quiet tonight as there was nothing on, however they have a board at the door that was full of things like Poker Night and sports events. I'll definitely be back and would throughly recommend a visit.

Where to begin.. visited this place last week and was definitely worth the visit. The atmosphere of the venue was spot on. The customer service was outstanding; the staff were caring and attentive. The gin tree on offer was fanatic value as well. Cocktails on offer were amazing too😍 Will definitely be returning some time in the near future.
