The Snaffle Bit is a Finnieston sports pub at 979 Sauchiehall Street — beers on tap, Sky/Premier/TNT Sports in HD, pool and darts, and a short Spice & Slice pizza menu. Glasgow Live (June 2025) covered a full refurb and reopen on 13 June after a brief closure from mid-May, pitching freshly cooked pizzas, drinks and matchday buzz. The name nods to horse racing — historic Glasgow publican John Scouller ran horse-themed pubs including this one. Hours on the site are Mon–Fri 1pm–midnight and Sat–Sun noon–midnight. Food is stonebaked pizzas from about £8.49 (margherita) to £9.49 (BBQ chicken), plus a £4 halal-certified curry naan. There is no online table booking — “Book now” links go to drinks. Don't know about food. Nice clean, stylish bar. Good seats nice tables in the west end near the Kelvingrove museum. Friendly staff good drink and atmosphere.

Just arrived in Glasgow we're staying in the best western sauchiehall street. Rooms not ready so we've popped in the the snaffle bit pub.had a lovely welcoming from the bar maid Emma. Nice atmosphere very clean toilets .we had a few drinks and shared a pizza .Will definitely use this pub again .thank you all staff

Nice bartenders. Gave us the student discount and recommended a deal to us and guessed our drinks or choice. Good atmosphere, busy but still tables about. Pool table is fun
