The service staff is friendly and kind, the food tastes good, and the Glasgow Hong Kong-style stir-fry dishes are the best I have tried so far. Soup is served as soon as you sit down, and dessert is also provided after the meal. I was very impressed and will definitely patronize again

Same Same and was absolutely delightful experience. The food was delicious, especially the duck in the 3 roast, which was rich, tender, and the skin was perfectly crispy. I used to go to this restaurant when it was Asia Style, and I was so excited to see the Malaysian pancakes on the menu. They were just as good as I remembered! Crispy, flaky perfection, paired with that amazing spicy dipping sauce. The service was also excellent. The staff were lovely and incredibly patient while we took our time deciding what to order. Can’t wait to come back again soon!

I came to SameSame Restaurant because friends told me it used to have generous portions and good value. Unfortunately, this visit was a big disappointment. The portion sizes were much smaller than expected, and the pricing was hard to justify — for example, a simple vegetable dish (£19) and “Stuff Three Kinds” (£19.50) were even more expensive than beef stew or fish. For £152, our table left feeling unsatisfied. The taste was okay, but nothing special enough to make up for the small portions and high prices. Sadly, I don’t think we’ll be returning. We were so underwhelmed that we didn’t even feel like taking any photos of the food.

I opted for the crispy roasted pork with noodles—a choice that left me thoroughly satisfied. While the price leaned slightly above average, the culinary experience proved well worth it. The crispy roasted pork, though not as juicy as I had hoped, found redemption in a delightful combination of barbecue sauce and soy sauce for dipping. The noodles, on the other hand, were a true highlight—flavorful and expertly prepared, they served as the perfect accompaniment to the pork. Portions at Same Same are generous, ensuring that hunger is never a concern. Moreover, the friendly staff added to the warm and inviting atmosphere, culminating our visit with the delightful tradition of a fortune cookie.

Fantastic meal. Salt and chilli tofu and hot/sour soup were outstanding but all meals were great. Service very helpful with accommodating vegetarian requests. Very authentic and an absolute must if in Glasgow.
