Papercup Coffee Company is an independent speciality coffee cafe and roastery at 603 Great Western Road, between Kelvinbridge and Hillhead. The original cafe opened in 2012. It roasts its own beans (roast days Monday and Wednesday) and also sells retail bags online and in store. Head of coffee David Deans has been with the business for over a decade and describes it as Australian-style speciality coffee and brunch without pretension. The cafe is small and often busy, with table service, brunch, cakes and pastries alongside espresso and filter options (single origins and their Ritual espresso). Reviews praise the coffee, vegan-leaning brunch and friendly staff. Brian's Coffee Spot noted seating for about 16 inside plus a few outside seats. There is a separate Papercup roastery cafe in the railway arches near SWG3 in Yorkhill, plus cafes in Motherwell and Clarkston. Local wholesale deliveries use electric vans and bikes. Flat White was good but it was absolutely freezing inside and very unpleasant. I closed the door but they kept on opening it and making it freezing cold inside. If I wanted to sit outside, I would go and sit outside. People normally go to coffee shops to and PAY to sit in a nice warm cozy coffee shop (especially in winter). It's a shame be the coffee itself was good but I won't be returning due to the cold temperature inside. Also, £4 for a flat white is....

We ordered kimchee burger, tiramisu banana bread, and smoked bacon french toast - all tasted so good!!! The wait time for food to be served is quite long but definitely worth the wait 🫶💯

They offer a great selection of rotating single-origin options , and their bagged beans are reasonably priced. The place is always packed, which tells you a lot. I'm looking forward to coming back to try the food.
