Absolutely brilliant experience at Mother Hubbard’s! The food was top quality – fresh, piping hot, and full of flavour. The fish was perfectly cooked with a lovely crispy batter, and the chips were just right – golden and fluffy. Portions were generous too, offering great value for money. The staff were fantastic – friendly, welcoming, and efficient. You can tell they genuinely care about the customers and take pride in the service they provide. The restaurant was spotless and had a cosy, relaxed feel to it, making it a great place to enjoy a proper meal. It’s rare to find a place that gets both food and service so right. I’ll definitely be coming back and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a great traditional fish and chips experience!

Food wasn’t great got the spicy fish that was £13 without the chips that were pretty much £5 extra. Would just buy the normal fish and chips that’s £13 if u really want to save your money and try to see what you think of the place. salt and pepper chicken strips that was ok but chips were horrendous £3 for a bottle of juice and had to buy sauces separately. The fat on the fish was sicking and pretty much had bulks of it all over the fish that you could just break off but that’s not enjoyable at all lol. Wouldn’t recommend unless you want to waste around £40 on not a lot of disappointing food that isn’t worth your time travelling to get.

Top notch. We ordered 3 jumbo fish and chips and by golly it was jumbo. Much bigger than expected. You definitely get more than your moneys worth here. Top quality best fish and chips you will ever eat. So worth the money. Will definitely be back here. Staff are lovely, customer service excellent. Thank you for the great food.

First time trying here. Got to be honest iv rated a few fish n chips shops a 10/10 this place made me change my mind regarding those other places this place is a 10/10. We areived 10:20pm the girl behind the counter said its take out only. I explained we called and was told of we arrived for 10:20pm they would allow us to dine in as we were travelling after work plus 30mins drive to get there. The girl allowed as i promised we would be quick. Well we were quick because the size of the food was massive. I have never had fish so big and the batter was super thick and crispy and piping hot freshly cooked. Chips were great i actually took half of it home. I also ordered mushy peas and they were fantastic I've never had mushy peas this good

Food was not fresh. Lemon has fungus growing on it. We ordered four different types of food from same menu, apart from one, all were soggy, a bit tasteless and clearly not fresh. Went to tell about lemon and food to reception, the guy took it, threw it in the bin and walked away, didn’t even say a word. I kept standing there for a minute, he came back and said, do you want something else. Extremely disappointed not only from the service but standard of food.
