Hajar's Shawarma - Sauchiehall Street

Carry out chicken shawarma. If you want a dry salty chicken wrap this is your place. As good as zero sauce, pickles and veg even thought they were asked for. The dog enjoyed it right enough. I won’t be back thought.

I was so sad after I held the container with my food for the first time. Freshly cooked but barely warm. Cheese not melted. Chips rock solid. Hummus disappointing especially after hearing about all the hype, better off going to Lidl tbh. Chicken drier than your mums sandal. Microscopic amount of the phenomenal garlic sauce. Try other places from the chain or go to your local shawarmist. Experience was not good, extremely discouraging to come back. Also prices are way higher than the other one in Gallowgate. Service was also not very friendly. Was the first meal of the day and honestly wish I had went to Best Kebab instead.

Excellent experience in the restaurant. We were a big group of 23 people (3 adults with 20 teenagers) and they were easily able to accommodate us. The staff was really nice and the food delicious. The portions are big and the ingredients really fresh. The hummus is one of the best we have ever tasted. We also really appreciated the complementary food. They even played French music for our teenagers. We can only recommend this restaurant!

The food is always amazing and the staff are very friendly and professional. Can’t recommend enough. Edit - Such a shame this place used to be awesome and I recommend it however unfortunately the standards seem to have dropped drastically. Food has been terrible recently

Absolutely lovely team. Incredible at putting the average cheeky punter in their place. Legends. Food is well worth it n all. So highly recommended if you want great food and watch a cheeky safety get dismantled on the way home from a disappointing night on the winch on Sauchiehall Street.
