Reviews
On arrival, the greeting wasn’t very welcoming, and the interaction felt like we were more of an inconvenience than guests. The Fattoush salad was disappointing -mostly plain lettuce with no dressing or moisture, just leaves. On the positive side, the halloumi with sauce was delicious. That said, nothing really looked like what’s shown on their Instagram. Overall, it was fine to fill a hunger gap, but nothing to write home about. I wouldn’t recommend.
Read on Google MapsFood is very good. Some names of dishes are wrong like bbq Lamb chops are named Shashlik. For food quality and ambiance it's 10/10. No complaints at all about anything BUT one, that's food portion. Even on their menu it's recommended to order two portions for one person, does it make sense? I mean £9 for one Kubeda kebab and 100% two are needed for one normal/average person, so £18 for one thing is too much. £15 for 4 pieces of lamb chops, is unfair. Specially when they r very tasty and juicy. Lamb shish or boneless boti was not upto the standards, it was not juicy or as soft as it should have been. It can be fixed very easily without even penny loss of profits (I gave suggestion to person in charge there) But apart from this issue, I totally recommend this place for all purposes, let it be a romantic dinner or a family one or friends get together.
Read on Google MapsWe ate upstairs in the takeaway area. We both had Habibi boxes and they were delicious. Mine contained a mixed side salad, hummus, chips, halloumi and garlic mayo and my husband's contained the same minus the halloumi and plus lamb shawarma. The boxes contained a lot of lovely food for the cost. I would highly recommend.
Read on Google MapsCame here for the speakeasy vibes after calling up for a reservation (which honestly was not needed as there were tables empty when we arrived) but when we got here, the downstairs main attraction area was closed for renovations which was disappointing as that’s what I asked for on the phone but wasn’t told. I was also told “it’s okay, the decor is the same upstairs which judging from the videos is definitely not the case. Fair enough, we still stayed, service was great, staff were friendly but this might be me being an old head but £15 for 6 cubes of lamb meat, a small handful of onions and salad, naan the size of my palm is a rip off? The meat was good, nothing to write home about but portion sizes are not great at all especially for the Chenjeh kebab. Fries were really good though. But yeah, judge from the picture yourself but I really felt ripped off for the portion and quality of food and especially wanting to arrive for the attraction of a speakeasy only to be told on arrival it’s not available. Pretty disappointing, unsure if we’ll return.
Read on Google MapsHands down, the best shish I’ve ever had at this Glasgow gem! The meat was marinated to perfection—bursting with flavor, so tender it practically melted in my mouth, and grilled to smoky, succulent glory. Each bite was a masterclass in taste, leaving me hungry for more. This place has set the shish bar sky-high—10/10, I’m already dreaming of my next visit! 🍢🔥
