Cute and small Japanese restaurant, impressed with the service received from the waitress. Really friendly and approachable. The pricing of the menu is very reasonable , we opt for the lunch menu which £7.99z. The food was delicious and worth the money.

I really want to preface this with that I much prefer to support local businesses and do not like leaving negative reviews however there doesn't appear to be any way to leave feedback. Firstly, the food here is delicious and I have never been disappointed in that aspect and strangely enough, the chips are phenomenal and I love them as a treat. However, the service and takeaway service is awful. The last time we ordered takeaway they forgot the chips (I get it, it's chips however we ordered and paid for them and I think that's the second time this has happened, and I'm sure on a previous order a drink was forgotten). We called straight away and asked them if they could send the chips to us and were told they couldn't as the drivers weren't their own drivers so they couldnt call them to redeliver. I totally get mistakes happen but if you only offer a "one shot" only delivery service you kind of need to get it right. We were told we could either receive a refund or add them next time, so we opted to add for next time. Tonight we ordered online and wanted to amend the order slightly. We have called several times to try and catch them before the order leaves the restaurant but the phone has just rang out continuously. In the end my partner has driven over to the restaurant to amend the order in person (even thought we've paid for delivery). As I say, the food is delicious and is the only reason I keep going back. I want to see them succeed, however they really really need to improve on their customer service and communication.

The miso soup is the best I've ever tasted! I strayed from my usual 'go-to' favourites and ordered a Bento box. The presentation was pretty, and the food was fresh. The tempura king prawns were fabulous, and the rice was tasty. I wasn't a fan of the chicken; it was the texture that put me off, but my husband had no objections to finishing what I didn't eat. The leafy salad garnish was very underwhelming and added nothing to my meal. It would have been best left out or spruced up with a bit of dressing or even better still, crunchier leaves. We had missed the lunchtime rush, but the atmosphere was pleasant, albeit quiet. Prices were very reasonable and the service was grand. We will definitely be back.

For dinner I ordered the chicken gyoza spicy ramen which I didn’t think was spicy at all and flavour of it was okay. My friend ordered the chicken and prawn tempura bento box which she said tasted like frozen chicken and was quite dry even with the sauce that was given with it. However the sides were better than the mains the spicy edamame tasted great and full of flavour. There seemed to be ongoing issues with takeaway orders that left the poor waitress being stressed as she was the only worker in at this time. This resulted in wait times being longer and atmosphere of the restaurant was quite tense. The waitress was lovely and could see she was trying her best to rectify the issues. Regardless of this I would come to the restaurant again to try something else.
