Glasgow restaurant
Firepit & Kiln at Springfield Quay combines a contemporary carvery restaurant with an on-site pottery painting studio — craft meets carvery in The Quay leisure complex. It opened in February 2024. Diners can eat in the restaurant or lounge and paint ceramics in the same visit; the studio runs whenever the restaurant is open, with prices depending on the piece you choose. The menu centres on a deluxe carvery (weekday adults from about £10, weekends higher; kids £7.50) plus steaks from the grill, burgers, pizzas and salads. The venue states that all food served on the premises is halal and that cooking wines are alcohol-free. It sits in The Quay with riverside views through floor-to-ceiling windows, alongside cinema, bowling and other leisure venues. Free customer parking on site (4-hour limit); Shields Road Subway is about a 10–14 minute walk, and McGill's 38 runs along Paisley Road. Book online via Now Book It. Check the official site before you go — it has shown closed for emergency refurbishments.
Came for 1 night from south yorkshire and stumbled across this gem! Highly recommend food was beautiful well seasoned and very flavoursome. We had brisket fries 100g option, chicken pizza with added mince, and kids meal macaroni cheese with fries, and chocolate ice cream. Even the macaroni cheese had rich flavour the staff were incredibly nice. Would love to try several of the other meal options, cost was very reasonable.

Nice decor and very clean, the staff were all polite and friendly and very attentive. There were lots of nice options on the menu but I had the carvery as it was under £10. My plate was piled so high I didn’t need a second visit to top up on potatoes and veg. It had two generous slices of beef and two of turkey, large Yorkshire pudding, mash and roast potatoes as well as a variety of roast and boiled veg. Lashings of gravy. It was very filling and delicious. I will definitely visit again soon.
Read on Google MapsThe food here is amazing. I have been a few times and tried several dishes and each time thouroughly enjoyed every mouthful. Yorkies are crispy, light and melt in your mouth. Veg is tasty, the mash is light, fluffy and so creamy. Fish and chips was tasty. Calmari starter is top notch. All I can say is the food is some of the best I have tasted and reasonably priced. Service is amazing and friendly.
Read on Google MapsStaff were friendly and welcoming. The staff member who served us at the carvery bar was awesome and sorted us out with two very generous plates of grub. My only critique would have been the veg selection, would have liked to see something like broccoli or cauliflower options however we came during the week so the offerings might vary on the weekend. Will definitely be back!
