To be honest ' much better than expected ' - we were attending the Peter Kay Show at the OVO and Clydebuilt was just over the piazza / square - open plan restaurant with a sense of industria legacy / very airy, simple menu - we had Highlander Burgers - well presented - price in line with similar restaurants in town so no obvious premium for exhibition/ concert location. Would recommend.
Read on Google MapsWe were able to go in 30 minutes earlier than our reservation. Waitress was lovely. I had the chicken caesar salad, it was huge. Lovely. My friend the fish and chips, loved it. The sticky toffee pudding was enormous. I had the apple crumble and ice cream. The crumble was lovely and crunchy. All the staff were very nice. Was great to relax and not rush our meal before show at armadillo.....😋😍
Read on Google MapsSpilt a drink and no one came to help. Staff seem generally pissed off. Coffee wasnt very nice and no sugar or anything available anywere. The tables and floor are not very clean either.
Read on Google MapsI was pleasantly surprised at how good this place was. Usually bars/restaurants near event venues are overpriced and not great quality, but when we were at the SEC Armadillo for an event, we had a look at the menu here and thought it looked really good. The ordering process is fast and simple, and the food came out reasonably quickly. I had fish and chips and it was very tasty, and well cooked & presented. I would definitely eat here again, and have already agreed with my wife that we’ll eat here next time we’re at an event in the area.
Read on Google MapsHorrible day I was wanting a quick bite to eat and I got terrible looks from staff I also was trying to order a drink but got told there was no kegs only overpriced bars juice , I ordered a burger with lettuce and cheese and got charged extra for the cheese on top of the overpriced burger I couldn’t find a seat beacuse of all the g4s security sat with bottled water and chatting the manager was very rude I asked for a napkin and was told go to the red thing and was disappointed with the overall cleanliness of the tables, all sticky and food on the seats and floor , I went to take a seat up at the end of the restaurant, the waitress told me I had to move because apparently it was fully booked however there was 12 tables empty. Once I managed to find my manky table I saw the staff looking at me and giggling, when I was leaving I saw the chefs smoking cigarettes with no jackets so I can only wonder about the hygiene in that place. Won’t be going back. Got my wife to take a foto of me at the manky tables.
