We finally got to eat here after not being able to get a table over a few weekends, it’s a deservedly popular spot. The food and wine were delicious, very high quality and really good value. We had the sea bass from the specials menu, and it was as good as you’d get in any established restaurants I’ve eaten at in Glasgow. The atmosphere is just what you want - welcoming, unfussy, laid back, good patter.
Read on Google MapsRecently attended on a Saturday evening as a party of seven to celebrate my son’s 30th birthday. On arrival we found out that we were double booked. The owner apologised and said he would sort out an additional table to accommodate us which he did within five minutes. He also said as it was their mistake the meal would be free. We all had starters and main courses along with a mixture of wines, beers and soft drinks. The food was excellent and the service was first class. At the end of the meal I offered to pay but the owner refused and wouldn’t even take money for the drinks. He even gifted my son with a bottle of sparkling wine. I was overwhelmed by the owners generosity and how he treated us. In short I can’t rate CIBO highly enough. I left a very decent tip for the staff who did an excellent job. Thanks for a wonderful evening.
Read on Google MapsWe booked Cibo for a family meal and to celebrate a big birthday. When we arrived, we had an issue but the owner and staff were so friendly and accommodating. This was my partner and I’s second time having dinner at Cibo and the food was just as delicious as our last visit, and everyone else enjoyed too. On both occasions, the owner (I think he’s Glaswegian/Italian) was so personable and he gives you a bit of cool knowledge on the wines (without being arrogant or pretentious!). He’s a pleasure to speak to and we really appreciated how above and beyond he and the staff went to make this evening special. It was a Saturday night - busy but great service and atmosphere. Definitely one of our favourite restaurants in Glasgow for the food and service. Can’t wait to come back!
Read on Google Mapsvery nice food, tiramisu was amazing. do wish the spicy chicken panini was actually spicy but still very yummy. staff were friendly and good price for everything.
Read on Google MapsI've never had food more obviously microwaved. I had the rice balls for a starter, and even though they came out very quickly they were barely lukewarm. The lasagna was burning hot on the outside, but when i cut into the middle it was sheets stuck together, barely warm. Not to mention the fact that by the time I got home I was feeling sick and had diarrhoea. Staff were lovely, and great atmosphere, but for the price the food is insanely bad.
