Lovely dinner here. The food was really nice. We had a couple of pasta dishes and focaccia and spicy potatoes. The service was excellent. Highly recommend.
Read on Google MapsWhat an absolutely fantastic place. I was brought here by my beautiful girlfriend who found it when walking Byres Road, and can only say: it’s a winner. If you dine, you MUST get the saffron arancini, and the selection of pastas are exceptional! Despite some interesting music playlist choices, the vibe is fun and relaxing, and as for service - Abbey was attentive, knowledgeable and genuinely cared about the customers. Honestly, head waitress material. If you’re in town and want Italian, come to Assaggini.
Read on Google MapsFirst visit to this restaurant. Lured in by the Cacio e Pepe and then delighted by the risotto and pizza options. Food was delicious and pasta cooked to perfection. One of the only restaurants in Glasgow that serves Cacio e Pepe and was excellent. Individual pizzas were perfect Italian 'Tapas' size and we had 2 options each, and shared a third, which was a perfect amount. If you like small-plates with good selections and great food then definitely recommend.
Read on Google MapsDecided to come in last night with a friend as I've been in before and love the food, cocktails & atmosphere. But I was honestly stunned by what I witnessed during my visit. Someone dressed as a manager, a man with a ponytail, was running around the restaurant with trays of hot food like it was some kind of obstacle course. He was dangerously weaving between staff, bumping shoulders, and rushing up and down the stairs at full speed. On two occasions, I actually saw him collide with staff... It wasn’t just unprofessional, it was flat-out unsafe. As a customer, I couldn’t relax & was cringing just watching, waiting for someone to get hurt. If someone had slipped, tripped, or been hit with hot food, it could have ended very badly! This kind of behavior from who I assume to be a manager, who should be setting the example is completely unacceptable in my opinion and It created a hazardous environment for both staff and customers. This needs to be addressed immediately before someone gets hurt. As a customer that has been before and loved it, it's safe to say that I won't be returning any time soon. Not Impressed.
