Afrikana Restaurant Glasgow - Sauchiehall St

We decided to try someone different as far as our typical restaurant, so glad we did. Everything was just so delicious. The food was seasoned just right to enhance the flavor not cover it. Would eat here again if given the opportunity.

First time trying African food in the UK and I was very pleased. The chicken was fall off the bone tender and had an amazing texture + was seasoned perfectly. Also ordered a side of Jollof Rice and a bubblegum Mojito, would definitely come here again and try other foods!

This place is super cool! The food was really yummy I got the Salmon Cure and the salmon was cooked really well and the sauce was really good. I also got the can’t remember the name of my drink Island something it had lychee and mango but it was very sweet and mojito like which paired well with my meal. I think the mac and cheese could have been a bit creamier but it was nice and cheesy. The music was just loud enough and the birthday celebrations around us were super cute! The staff were really nice like Kinza, they didn’t come and bother us but she made sure the food was satisfactory and we were happy. I think the price is super worth it, i went in really hungry and left really full. We even had to bring leftovers! I tried some of my families food too and it was sooooo good! Wait time was about 20 mins for food which I think is pretty good. There are some steps to the bathroom so idk about wheelchair accessibility but I dont know because nobody in my group uses one but also there was a ramp up to tables and it didn’t look steep. Speaking of the bathroom it was clean and spacious. Defos recommend Afrikana for the fun vibes, friendly staff, and delicious food!

We had the times best at Afrikaans today, service from the door was spectacular, aesthetics was 💯.Beauty and the best drink was everything for me, love the smokiness that comes with it. I had the hummus and bread , and Kebabing and would definitely recommend both of them as the taste was great. The staff with us for the evening was Malik and his professionalism was 👌

A lovely restaurant with a wide range of different options. The food was delicious and there were plenty of meat & veggie options. Took a while for drinks to come when it wasn’t that busy but overall very good.
