What People Are Saying

Woor Ping offers Chinese takeaway, receiving mixed reviews that reflect both strengths when quality standards are met and concerns about food quality, pricing, and consistency. The takeaway has been described as one of the best had in a long time and definitely topped the list when operating well, though quality consistency and pricing concerns have been raised by some reviewers.

The food at Woor Ping receives positive feedback when quality standards are met, with dishes described as one of the best had in a long time, tremendous, delicious, and definitely topped the list. One reviewer noted they've tried nearly every other one in the area and this has definitely topped the list. Specific dishes receive particular acclaim, with curry, ribs, chop suey, and sweet & sour all described as tremendous. The curry receives particular praise, with one reviewer noting they drive from East Kilbride because they like the curry (all crap in East Kilbride). However, there have been quality concerns raised, with food described as poor quality, and reviewers noting you can literally taste the cheap ingredients. The spring rolls have been described as very bland, no taste, something missing, and such a shame, with one reviewer noting they used to love them but they're definitely not the same, suggesting quality decline. The chips have been described as crap and need to change oil, and one reviewer noted the chips needed cooked a wee bit longer. There have been concerns about salt volumes being off the charts, with one reviewer noting prepare to be severely dehydrated, and if you enjoy quality in general, you're definitely going to be disappointed.

Portion sizes receive mixed feedback, with one reviewer noting portion sizes are fine, but they also note that doesn't change the fact that the food isn't good, suggesting that while portions may be adequate, quality may not always match.

Value perception is consistently poor, with reviewers describing food as expensive compared to other Chinese takeaways locally, suggesting that pricing may not match the quality offered.

For visitors to Glasgow, Woor Ping offers Chinese takeaway that can be one of the best had in a long time and definitely topped the list when quality standards are met. The takeaway's ability to deliver tremendous curry, ribs, chop suey, and sweet & sour has earned it positive recommendations from some reviewers, with one noting they drive from East Kilbride specifically for the curry. However, there have been concerns raised about food quality consistency, pricing, and preparation (including chips needing oil change and salt volumes being high). The combination of generally good food when quality is consistent, but quality consistency and pricing concerns, makes it a mixed experience, and the takeaway would benefit from addressing quality consistency, ensuring proper preparation standards, and ensuring value matches pricing to maintain its positive reputation.

First time ordering and I have to say it was one of the best I've had in a long time. I've tried nearly every other 1 in the area and this has definitely topped the list. Curry, ribs, chop suey, sweet & sour, everything was tremendous. Only thing I can fault was that the chips needed cooked a wee bit longer. Apart from that the meal was delicious. Good job.

Poor quality food. You can literally taste the cheap ingrediants. Portion sizes are fine but only that doesn't change the fact that the food isn't good. Prepare to be severely dehydrated too (salt volumes are off the charts here) and if you enjoy quality in general, you're definitely going to be disappointed.
