What People Are Saying
This McDonald's location serves as a standard fast-food option in Glasgow, offering the familiar menu and convenience that the chain is known for. As a McDonald's outlet, it provides affordable, quick-service food that serves purposes like family meals with children or late-night dining after nights out. However, customer experiences at this particular location have been mixed, with several reviewers reporting significant service and quality issues.
Service at this location has been a particular concern for many reviewers. There have been reports of staff behaving dishonestly, with instances of servers not providing requested items like trays despite customers pressing the appropriate buttons. Staff interactions have been described as arrogant and disrespectful, with security guards also receiving criticism for being extremely disrespectful and rude. There have been instances of missing orders, with customers waiting nearly half an hour for table service that never arrived, and parts of orders being incomplete when finally received. These service issues have led some customers to describe this as their worst experience at a McDonald's location.
Food quality and consistency have been variable according to reviewers. While some note that the food can be decent on certain days, others report that quality is inconsistent, with some days being awful. Specific issues mentioned include burgers frequently falling out of their buns when boxes are opened, hot chocolate that tastes like water or consists mostly of boiling water with little chocolate content, and drinks like toffee lattes not being served at the proper temperature. These quality control issues suggest that consistency may be a challenge at this location.
Cleanliness has been a concern raised by reviewers, with reports of full bins, rubbish on the floor, dirty walls, and tiny flies present throughout the restaurant. These cleanliness issues, combined with service problems, have contributed to negative experiences for some customers.
Accessibility has been another area of concern. The regular toilets are located up four flights of stairs, which presents challenges for customers with mobility issues. There have been reports of staff providing incorrect information about disabled toilet facilities, with one reviewer noting that staff claimed there was no disabled toilet on the main floor when one actually existed nearby. This has created particular difficulties for seniors and customers with disabilities who need accessible facilities.
Technical issues have also been reported, with order machines not working properly and customers unable to successfully input codes despite multiple attempts. These technical problems can add frustration to the ordering process.
It's worth noting that as a fast-food chain location, expectations may vary, and some customers find it serves its purpose adequately for quick, affordable meals. However, the frequency and severity of issues reported by reviewers suggest that this particular location may benefit from attention to service standards, food quality consistency, cleanliness, and staff training to better meet customer expectations and provide the reliable experience that McDonald's aims to deliver.
Reviews
I have shopped at this McDonald's many times. I have never had a problem before. This morning one of the servers behaved dishonestly. I eat here because I pressed a button, but despite this, he wanted to give me my cocoa and food without my wallet. When I told the guy that I wanted the tray, the lady came over arrogantly and asked me what my problem was. I told him. He took me at my word. I told him that if I wanted food here, he had to give me a tray. There were about six customers in the morning, there was not much traffic. I asked her by her name, Cassie's name plate. She was about 30 years old, a short woman with blonde hair, with a ponytail. In the future, I will not come here again because of this unsightly service. In addition, while they were busy writing the review, they laughed in a rude and inappropriate way. And the cocoa tasted like water.
Read on Google MapsI was travelling late at night from London to Scotland and felt very hungry, so I ordered a Big Mac, a toffee latte, and a melon bag. I selected table service and waited for nearly half an hour, but nothing arrived. So, I went to the till area and stood there waiting for a staff member, but no one came. Then, a security guard approached me very rudely and asked why I was standing there. He was extremely disrespectful. A few minutes later, a staff member finally came, and I explained that my order was missing. They gave me the food, but the melon bag was missing, and the toffee latte was not hot. This has been the worst experience I’ve ever had at McDonald’s. After a long journey, everything was closed, there was no access to a bathroom, part of my order was missing, and the security staff were especially disrespectful. Please provide better service in the future.
Read on Google MapsIt's a McDonald's so it's decent junk food that you can take the kids too, or grab a burger after a night out.
Read on Google MapsI'm a senior in need of a knee replacement, and the regular toilets are up 4 flights of stairs. I asked a server where the disabled toilet was, and if there was a code. He said there wasn't one- the only one was upstairs. After eating, I checked the main floor and there was a disabled toilet about 20 feet from where I was sitting. It was unlocked, so I went in. When I was in there, someone came and knocked. I said hello, and the door was rattling. I said occupied, and it sounded like someone was about to use a key. I went to the door and shouted occupied, and he said "it sounds like someone is in there". When I came out, there was a little girl and her brother standing there waiting. They looked like they could have climbed the stairs. So no disabled toilet for seniors, but children are allowed?? Ridiculous!
Read on Google MapsThe order machine didn't work properly, I tried to introduce my code so many times without any result. Some days the food is good, some days the food is awfull. I can understand that this is a fast food restaurant, but I don't understand why I have to put the burger inside the bun every single time (because when I open the box I find the burger mostly outside). If you order a hot chocolate you will get a boiling water cup with almost nothing of chocolate. Today was even worse, bins were full, rubbish on the floor, dirty walls and full of tiny flies everywhere! (Check the black dots on the picture)
