Located at Westergate on 260 Argyle Street, this sky-high venue sits atop the YOTEL Glasgow hotel, providing breathtaking panoramic views of the Glasgow skyline while combining dining, drinks, and entertainment in one dynamic destination. VEGA Glasgow sets itself apart as the country's only bowling alley in the sky, creating an unrivalled experience where guests can enjoy strikes and spares while sipping expertly crafted cocktails against spectacular city views. The venue offers an extensive cocktail menu with over a hundred hand-picked spirits and liqueurs, complemented by thoughtfully crafted food from small plates to big statements, all mixed in the unique VEGA way. The venue's entertainment programme includes weekly live music with resident DJs offering Glasgow's trendiest sounds from old school hip-hop to house music. Their famous Disco Brunch runs monthly alongside themed Brunch Project events. The recently renovated space also features Glasgow's first fully-customisable bar experience—The U-Bar—allowing groups to curate their perfect night out. VEGA serves breakfast, lunch, dinner, and late-night bites, with food served daily from 12pm (last orders 9:30pm), open weekdays 7am-12am and weekends 8am-12am. For those wanting to stay after the party, VEGA is located on the top floor of YOTEL Glasgow, allowing guests to book a room and enjoy the 11am check-out (dubbed "the walk of fame"). The venue also offers private party spaces, meeting rooms with stunning views, and work-from-VEGA options, making it versatile for business events, celebrations, and memorable nights out.

What People Are Saying

VEGA Restaurant & Bowling Glasgow offers a unique combination of dining, bowling, and entertainment in a spacious venue with amazing views over the city. The restaurant has received mixed reviews, with praise for its views, atmosphere, and service when operating well, though food quality consistency has been a concern for some reviewers.

The food at VEGA receives mixed feedback. When quality standards are met, dishes are described as lovely, excellent quality, and featuring good variety. Breakfast receives particular praise for excellent quality and good variety, and dinner choices are described as varied and good price. Some dishes like steak frites and fish are described as decent, and the food is generally described as fine. However, there have been significant concerns raised about food quality consistency, with some dishes like lasagne sticks and macaroni described as terrible. The macaroni has been described as very watery with very little cheese flavour and hardly edible, while lasagne sticks have been described as dry and seeming like they had been badly reheated. One reviewer noted that food seemed rushed out without much care for quality, suggesting inconsistency in food preparation standards.

The venue's atmosphere and design receive consistent praise, with reviewers describing it as funky, modern look, spacious yet accommodating, and not feeling intimidating despite its size. The amazing views over the city, including rooftops, Central Station, and hills on the horizon, are a significant draw. The venue features huge windows, different sizes of tables, different chairs, and a bar area, creating a versatile space suitable for various occasions. The venue looks like a place where company or team nightouts could be organized, with plenty of place to mingle and tables not too close to each other. The restrooms are unisex and described as nice and clean.

Service at VEGA has received mixed feedback. When service is good, staff are described as very friendly, lovely, great, and the staff ask about allergies and check on customers regularly but not too much. The staff will happily make popular cocktails that may not be on the menu, demonstrating flexibility and customer service. However, there have been some service issues reported, including one reviewer noting they had to watch a staff member pop a zit before making a drink, and experiencing long waits (over 5 minutes) with empty drinks before having to say something. The reviewer noted that if the girls are working you're good, suggesting inconsistency in service quality depending on staff.

The venue offers bowling facilities, and reviewers who have visited for bowling and drinks note that everyone had a great time. The combination of dining, bowling, and entertainment makes it suitable for various occasions.

The venue's drink selection receives positive feedback, with reviewers describing it as great selection of drinks, and the setting is described as lovely for a drink.

For visitors to Glasgow, VEGA offers a unique dining and entertainment experience with amazing views and a versatile space. The venue's ability to combine dining, bowling, and drinks in a spacious, modern setting makes it attractive for various occasions, from brunch to team nightouts. However, food quality consistency appears to be variable, and service quality may depend on which staff are working. The combination of amazing views, versatile space, and entertainment options makes it a worthwhile destination, though the restaurant would benefit from addressing food quality consistency and ensuring all staff maintain high service standards to ensure all guests have positive experiences.

We went for a brunch only (no bowling, no drinks) on a Saturday, at noon. Tables were getting set up so I had time to linger around a bit, the view is amazing! All the rooftops, Central Station and hills on the horizon. The venue is spacious yet accomodating, didn't feel intimidating despite its size. Funky, modern look, very friendly staff, DJ. The food was lovely - I gave 4 stars because I expected a bit more on my plate when I chose the veggie breakfast (to be fair it wasn't quantified on the menu and everything was on there listed) though it didn't leave me hungry, so I'd probably give 4.75 if there was an option. I also got a generous size of iced latte with oatmilk, so alternative milks are readily available. The staff asked about allergies, I heard they did this to other customers, too. They checked on us regularly but not too much and were all very friendly. Definitely a place I'd like to frequent, may even try the bowling area! Looks like a place where company /team nightouts could be organised as well, plenty of place to mingle, the tables were not too close to each other. Huge windows, different sizes of tables, different chairs and bar area. Restrooms are unisex with sink, dryer and soap&lotion inside the cubicles. Nice and clean.

Food isn’t great. Steak frites and fish were decent but the lasagne sticks and macaroni were terrible. The macaroni was very watery and had very little cheese flavour. Was hardly edible. The lasagne sticks were dry and seemed like it had been badly reheated and then covered up with loads of Parmesan. Service was great and the other food was fine. Seems like food was just just rushed out without much care for quality at all. Lovely setting for a drink though.

If the guys are working walk away, if the girls are working your good! Had to watch a guy pop his zit before making a drink. Our drinks were gone and we waited for him over 5 minutes and I still had to say something. The girls on top of it friendly and are clean. Food was good. Stayed at the hotel so multiple visits to the bar
