Lovely place, friendly staff. Food was delicious, hot and fresh when served. I have only reduced by one star on this occasion as a first time customer coming with work for a night out and 2 out of our group didn't get their main until most people were nearly finished. I will give credit to the staff as they apologised and deducted from our bill. Will come again as all the food looked great.
Read on Google MapsBoyfriend and I picked a restaurant somewhat randomly in Glasgow's city center and the Smokin Fox gave us exactly the pleasant experience we were looking for! Our waitress was so helpful and friendly; she had us laughing throughout our whole meal, she was an absolute hoot! The food was tasty and super reasonably priced too. We had some snacks with our gins (the squid was absolutely delicious) and the fish and chips and a pie. We highly recommend that place for anyone looking for simple but well executed tasty dishes and a great staff ♡
Read on Google MapsEasy going, really friendly service, food was lovely, we had a really good time.
Read on Google MapsExcellent bar/restaurant in the heart of Glasgow. Very friendly and attentive staff, good food and beer, and decent prices. Ended up coming here three times over a weekend visit, and I can honestly say that the Veggie Breakfast that I had on the Saturday was THE best breakfast that I have EVER had. (Previous holder of that title was the Malmaison in Newcastle, but not only was this an awesome breakfast, it didn't break the bank either!) The Smokin' Fox will be a permanent addition to all future Glasgow itineraries. 11/10
Read on Google MapsPopped in for lunch during a vacation in May '25 after scoping our some local food spots in Glasgow for the day that we passed through. Very happy we chose The Smokin' Fox. My lady and I both got a pint of the Inch's cider and some chili squid to start. It was very tasty, and a great start. For mains, my lady got the fish and chips and I had the chicken schnitzel, plus a side of the wee mac 'n cheese. My lady said it was her favorite out of all the fish n chips we had during the vacation, and I was very pleased with the schnitty. The chimichurri sauce with the schnitzel was more like a pesto to me, with a nice pistachio and cilantro flavor, and made the dish. My fries were really nice, and so were the chips with the fish. But the star of the show was that mac 'n cheese. The crispy onions on it were great, and the deep onion flavor with it - it was like the best french onion soup that wasn't french onion soup I've ever had. Well worth your time to pop in here. Service was great and quick, and the place had a nice modern-retro vibe to it.
