Honestly one of the best tapas-styled places I have ever visited. We dined on a Sunday evening and had made a reservation beforehand. The service was extremely pleasant and staff were quick to react to empty water bottles and plates. Especially a big thank you to our young male server, Jordan, your approach to serving us really made our evening while dining at the Last Bookstore. Can be a bit noisy at times, as the bar is just below/adjacent to the restaurant. This however, did not bother us since we were able to converse just fine. Additionally, the atmosphere is also very cozy and nicely furnished. The food was spicy, but the dishes were perfectly balanced and delicious! Would definitely recommend to visit if you are based or visiting in Glasgow.
Read on Google MapsThe Last Bookstore Pub is a truly unique and magical place in Glasgow. The concept is brilliant and executed perfectly: a bar that feels like a cozy, old-world library, with thousands of books lining the walls and a beautiful literary archway. The atmosphere is warm, inviting, and feels miles away from the hustle and bustle of the city outside. The cocktail menu is a work of art, with each drink cleverly inspired by a famous author or literary work. We also tried some of the small plates, which were absolutely delicious and well-thought-out. The staff are all incredibly friendly and knowledgeable, adding to the charm of the place. Whether you're a bookworm or just looking for a cool spot for a drink, The Last Bookstore is an unmissable experience. It's a five-star gem that you'll want to return to again and again.
Read on Google MapsOutstanding spot. Top service throughout. Very interesting cocktail list, each offering seems to be a twist on the standards. The small plates are quite generous and you can find some great pairings. The yuzuki paired with the manchego is exquisite. My wife enjoyed the crispy chicken thighs so much she had to go again. Chilled tunes at perfect volume, wonderful ambience. We ate here twice during our 3 days in Glasgow and we weren't disappointed.
Read on Google MapsWe made reservations here just for the cocktails and the experience. We got a few appetizers but had other dinner plans. The atmosphere was great! We sat upstairs and it was all so bookish! I had the Tolkien to drink and it was so delicious.
Read on Google MapsHere I had one of the best drinks I’ve ever had. I had a Tolkien and it was so delicious! I’m a major book dragon so this place was a bit of heaven for me. Super nice staff
