Overview
Peter's Chippie on Carnwadric Road – where Thornliebank goes when they need a proper feed and they need it now. This isn't your average chip shop, oh no. With a rating of 4.7 from over 2,000 happy customers, they're doing something very right. And "Chippie" is just the starting point – they're serving up the whole edible universe here. Let's talk about the menu because it's properly impressive. You've got your classic fish and chips (obviously), but then they're also throwing down pizzas, burgers, pastas, chicken dishes, calzones, and honestly, so much more deliciousness that you'll need to order the menu to see it all. Feeling indecisive? Can't decide between pizza and a burger? No problem – they've got both and everything in between. Open Monday to Friday from 11:30am until 10:45pm (perfect for lunch runs, dinner fixes, and those "it's 10pm and I need pizza RIGHT NOW" moments), and weekends from 4pm. Whether you're picking up or getting it delivered straight to your door, they're ready to sort you out. And with those weekend hours starting at 4pm, they clearly understand that late nights need good food too. Located at 216 Carnwadric Road, they're serving Thornliebank with generous portions and proper satisfaction. With those kinds of reviews and a menu that covers every craving under the sun, Peter's is the kind of place that makes decisions difficult because everything looks too good. Ring them on 0141 638 3088, or just order online and let the feast begin.

For visitors to Glasgow, Peter's Chippie offers fish and chips that can be great place for your Fish n chips and very tasty when quality standards are met. The chippie's ability to deliver hot, tasty, well cooked fish with crisp batter and fresh chips, great value, and long-standing tradition has earned it positive recommendations from many reviewers. However, there have been concerns raised about food quality consistency (including over cooked, greasy, and soggy items), service (including slow service), and preparation standards (including oil reuse concerns). The combination of generally good food when quality is consistent, but quality consistency and service concerns, makes it a mixed experience, and the chippie would benefit from addressing quality consistency, ensuring proper preparation standards, and improving service efficiency to ensure all guests have positive experiences.

This place is repulsive. The food is so over cooked & greasy, they must also reuse the oil because everything tasted of fish. All right if you like fish. The service was shocking also, it was quite when I was in & it took them so long to get my order together & all it was was a simply fish & chips which had soggy batter on the fish & soggy chips with literally no salt or vinegar Does help the small rotund woman behind the counter was doing nothing but chatting to the other staff members and customers. All in all wouldn't advise spending money here not worth it at all. Lu
Read on Google MapsWe hadn't had a fish supper in ages and really fancied one. We'd ordered from here before and were delighted with the food. We weren't disappointed. 2 double fish suppers and chicken pakora and free onion rings at a great price. The fish were massive and everything was hot, tasty and well cooked; crisp batter, fresh chips. We all thoroughly enjoyed it, especially having a 'piece' with the chips and all washed down with the only drink suitable; original irn bru.
