Overview

Namak Mandi at 100 Norfolk Street in Glasgow – because when someone calls themselves "Country's Most Loved" and backs it up with nearly 3,000 reviews, you sit up and take notice. With a solid 4.3-star rating from 2,944 reviews (we're not even making that number up, it's actually 2,944), this place isn't just good Pakistani cuisine, it's a culinary institution that clearly knows what it's doing. Here's the story: Namak Mandi serves authentic cuisine inspired by the ancient city of Peshawar, combining traditional preparation methodology with local ingredients for dishes that honour their Peshawari origins while celebrating the culture. They've got something called "The Baithak" which sounds mysterious and fabulous (it's probably where the magic happens). The whole vibe is "created with passion and served with love" and honestly, with nearly 3,000 people bothering to write reviews, they must be doing something right. Located in the heart of Glasgow on Norfolk Street, Namak Mandi is open Monday-Saturday 12pm-10pm and Sunday 11am-10pm (because Sunday deserves good Pakistani food too). You can dine in, order online for collection or delivery, or book for larger events because apparently they've got space for that. With opening hours that cover lunch, dinner, and everything in between, they're basically ready whenever you are. Call 0141 471 7408 for reservations or just show up (though with their popularity, maybe call first). With nearly 3,000 reviews and the audacity to call themselves "Country's Most Loved," Namak Mandi is clearly not messing around with their Pakistani cuisine game.

As a home baker and food blogger with over 20 years of experience, I’ve had the privilege of trying countless dishes but my visit to Namak Mandi was truly something special. The food was phenomenal. We ordered Dahi bhalay, chicken mandi, Lamb charsi karahi and chapli kabab+ roghni naan. The chicken mandi was spot on, roghni naan fresh and fluffy, and every dish we ordered, packed with authentic flavour. What made the evening truly exceptional, was Jaffar, his humour and VIP-level service made the dinner truly special. We would definitely visit here again.

Amazing and tasty food. The place is very good and friendly. We were not only served but welcomed so well and told that this is like your second home. Well actually we felt it 🙂 visiting this city from Canada for the first time and good that we choose this place for food. We were served by Jaffa. If you are here, ask about him. You will see the warmth.

What an amazing discovery this restaurant Had a lovely dining experience. Great quality food with generous portions. We took special mix grill and lamb mandi with Rohan & regular Naans. Kebabs were authentic Iranian and Mandi was Peshawari. I was doubtful about the combo but they tasted juicy and full of flavours. The service outstanding—so friendly, funny, and full of positive energy. Highly recommend this place—not just for the food, but for the whole experience. Will definitely visit this when in Glasgow again.
