What People Are Saying

Jasmine One offers Chinese cuisine, receiving mixed reviews that reflect both strengths when quality standards are met and significant concerns about service timing, delivery reliability, and order accuracy. The restaurant has been described as excellent and absolutely beautiful when operating well, though service and delivery issues have been raised by some reviewers.

The food at Jasmine One receives positive feedback when quality standards are met, with dishes described as excellent, tasty, high quality, absolutely beautiful, well presented, piping hot, plentiful, and lovely. Specific dishes receive particular acclaim, with the Prawn cocktail and Chicken and sweetcorn soup described as lovely, the Grilled Lemon chicken described as absolutely beautiful, well presented, piping hot, plentiful, and the best lemon chicken in a long time, and the mixed Satay described as absolutely beautiful. The food quality is such that reviewers note it definitely was good and they will return when standards are met.

However, there have been significant service and delivery issues reported. Reviewers have noted waiting 40 minutes from time of ordering for a simple Sweet & Sour Chicken, with total wait times reaching 90 minutes. Delivery times have been particularly problematic, with one reviewer ordering at 5:45pm, being told it would arrive at 7:30pm (which seemed extreme), and it actually arriving at 8:50pm, cold. The reviewer received zero phone calls to explain, and when they phoned four times, they received conflicting information (further 35 mins, then 15 mins, then 2 mins, then 5 mins away). Another reviewer noted delivery took about 2 and 1/4 hours when told it would take about 1 hour, with multiple calls providing conflicting information. The food arrived warm and mediocre in one case, and cold in another. There have also been order accuracy issues, with one reviewer noting their order was wrong, and when they tried to get a refund, they were told Jasmine One can't issue a refund from "their" website because it's "not their website". Food quality concerns have been raised, with one reviewer noting food was poor, tasteless, and felt like reheats, and salt & chilli chips not matching expectations.

Service at Jasmine One has been inconsistent. When service is good, staff are described as very warm welcome, pleasant, helpful, and contributing to positive experiences. Individual staff members like Susie and Sammi receive specific commendations. However, there have been service issues, including lack of flexibility (customers asked for a table change but were told all unoccupied tables were reserved for booked customers, yet 90 minutes later no one had occupied any vacant tables), very noisy environment (chattering staff, toing and froing), and poor communication regarding delivery times.

The restaurant's atmosphere receives mixed feedback, with reviewers noting it's very clean and comfortable when good, but very noisy when facing the kitchen service area. The restaurant is noted as not suitable for disabled access, with toilets down two flights of stairs.

For visitors to Glasgow, Jasmine One offers Chinese cuisine that can be excellent and absolutely beautiful when quality standards are met. The restaurant's ability to deliver tasty, high quality food and pleasant service has earned it positive recommendations from some reviewers. However, there have been significant concerns raised about service timing, delivery reliability, order accuracy, and food quality consistency. The combination of generally good food when quality is consistent, but significant service and delivery concerns, makes it a mixed experience, and the restaurant would benefit from addressing delivery times, ensuring order accuracy, improving communication, and maintaining consistent food quality to ensure all guests have positive experiences.

This is a revue of two tales. First visit here after a trip to Rouken Glen. First tale is the good news The food is excellent starters and mains were all tasty and of high quality. 2nd tale is the bad news. I waited 40 mins from time of ordering for a simple Sweet & Sour Chicken which must be one of their most popular dishes. We were seated on arrival facing the kitchen service area. Very noisy with chattering staff toing and froing. We asked for a table change but were told all unoccupied tables were reserved for booked customers. 90 mins later, when i finally had recd my main dish and we were finished, no one had yet occupied any vacant tables. It was still early evening.Lack of flexibility and too long a wait, spoiled an otherwise good food experience.

Utterly Abysmal! Ordered a takeaway for my family at 5:45pm from the restaurant which is 5min drive from my house. I was told it would be here for 7:30pm (which in itself seemed extreme) It's now 8:45pm, I have received zero phone calls from them to explain. I have phoned them four times. First call stated it would be a further 35mind. The second i was informed they weren't sure, but when I prompted them to ask the kitchen I was told a further 15mins. In the third call I was told it was leaving the kitchen and would be with me in 2mins. The fourth call I was told the driver was 5mins away. It arrived at 8:50pm, cold

Ordered on just eat. Delivery would take about 1 hour. After 1 1/2 hours phoned to ask about it. Was told it was out for delivery. After another half an hour phoned back to be told delivery would arrive in about 10 minutes. Over all it took about 2 and a quarter hours to get here. If it’s too busy to deliver on time it shouldn’t accept orders! Food was warm and mediocre when it arrived. Certainly won’t be using again

Our first visit to Jasmine One this evening. A very warm welcome from Susie. Comfortable table, very clean. I ordered Prawn cocktail, my husband, Chicken and sweetcorn soup, both lovely. I then had Grilled Lemon chicken , husband had mixed Satay. Absolutely beautiful, well presented, piping hot, plentiful and I'd go as far as to say the best lemon chicken Ive had in a long time. Sammi, served us, what a pleasant, helpful girl!! Having read some of the reviews we had hoped it would be good, it definitely was and we will return. Thank you Jasmine One. I Should add, the restaurant is not suitable for disabled, toilets are down two flights of stairs.
