Criterion Fish & Chips

THE best Fish n chip shop in the area - EASY! Girls always serve with a smile and great banter too! Fish is the tastiest you'll get (i used to drive over from bearsden for it!) and chips perfectly made too. Have tried ALL the chippies locally...but this is the plaice to go for fish n chips (all puns intended!)

Ended up with food poisoning from here on Friday. Went in and had a sausage supper had 2 bites of the sausage and knew something wasn't right, fast forward a few hours and I was being violently sick. Would avoid.

Fancied a fish,got the old man to go down to criterion for me. What a let down. What happened to them popping the fish in fryer when ordered. As it used to be. 2 slice of tasteless ,had obviously been lying,could have soled my shoes with them. You've lost my custom.

Had been using this place regularly but he started serving re heated old chips and they were disgusting and went in the bin. Won't use again, complete waste of money and really annoyed as it used to be a good chippy.

when we came in he let a lad pay his battered sausage later because his card declined. and then we got a great deal on our pizzas. wonderful staff and service. 10/10 would come here again!
