Bollywood Spice is a pizza and Indian takeaway at 477 Dumbarton Road, Partick (G11 6EJ). Its own site brands it as a pizza takeaway, but the menu runs from 7- to 12-inch pizzas and kebabs to curries, kormas, biryanis and tandoori grills. Order online at bollywoodspicetakeaway.co.uk (a Foodhub-run site), at bollywoodspiceglasgow.co.uk, through Just Eat or Uber Eats, or by phone on 0141 334 9888. Pickup takes about 20 minutes and delivery about 45. The official info page lists pickup from 4pm to 12:45am Monday to Thursday and Sunday, and from 1pm to 12:45am on Fridays and Saturdays; delivery runs 4pm–11:45pm daily. Curries and kormas are £8.65, biryanis £10.75 and tandoori grill mains £12 (£15.50 for king prawn or the mixed grill). Pizzas start at £4.95 for a 7-inch Margherita (£7.95 for 12-inch), and a donner kebab is £5.50. On Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays the second pizza is half price. The FSA rated it Pass at its last listed inspection, in November 2019, so that rating is now old. It’s on the Dumbarton Road bus corridor near the Partick rail and Subway interchange. Reviewers like the house specials, pakora and chips and cheese, but the overall rating is middling and quality is reported as inconsistent.
Bought chips. Took them back as not cooked full. Guy just said they were hot. I tried to explain that hot and cooked are not the same, they were hard in every bite and undercooked. He grudgingly made more. I said please cook them 1 minute more but he served them. Again undercooked. No wonder this place is in a YouTube review of top 10 Worst in Glasgow.
