Nice environment but it will be transformed on a Saturday night with the regular oompah band rather than pop music. Tremendous range of beers - Helles and pilsners. Prices not bad. Food okay.

Overview
Bavaria Brauhaus is a Munich-style beer hall on Bothwell Street, opened in November 2015 by Raymond Codona in the former Madness Theatre of Fun after a roughly £1 million refit. The concept leans hard on Hofbräuhaus: wood benches and tables, a painted ceiling by Glasgow artist Nichol Wheatley, and the Munich “Big Six” beers (Spaten, Hofbräu, Hacker-Pschorr, Augustiner-Bräu, Paulaner, Löwenbräu) plus a wider German draught and bottle list. Food is hearty Bavarian comfort — bratwurst, currywurst, flammkuchen, schweinshaxe, sharing sausage platters, plus burgers and bier-battered fish. Staff wear traditional dress; the haus oompah band plays Saturday nights from 8 till 10. Diners often praise the beer range, steins, and lively hall atmosphere more than fine-dining polish. Online bookings cap at eight; larger parties need email or phone, with a £5pp deposit most of the year (£10pp in December), redeemable against the bill and refundable if you cancel within 24 hours. Private dining sits on the mezzanine. Open daily from noon.
Reviews
Great selection of beer. Love a weisbier. Food was excellent too. Strangely not as keen on the paddle board of beer, will stick to steins and pints next time
Read on Google MapsA friend recommend this brahaus not long ago and I’ve been here almost thrice since! Most people think it’s a good place to drink, however the food is just unreal. My favourite is the truffle fries the flavour is just to die for. The sausages are so flavourful too🩷
Read on Google MapsI would have given 5 stars but they didn't have goulash. Great service relaxed atmosphere. Loved the signs directing you to the right restroom.
Read on Google MapsWe had pan fried mushrooms with rye bread, fried egg noodles, chicken wings and chicken schnitzel. Decent food. Service is good. Sophie you are a star! Ambience: depends on time .. weekdays are quiet .. Weekends, with a lot more footfall it's a buzz with happy vibes all around. So expect noise. If you're someone that likes having food in a quiet, soulful, ambient spacing, this place offers you one a pleasant yet distant music in the background. Washroom is clean and well maintained.
