Basta Pizza Bar

This is our new regular pizza place. We’ve been a few times to sit in and each time the pizza has been 10/10. The service is unmatched. super friendly staff in general. It’s great value for money. It’s BOYB just now which is another benefit. If you like Neapolitan style pizza, great starters, and a lovely, chill ambiance, this is your place. we will be back time and time again.

I had a great experience at Basta, the restaurant itself is easy to find at the bottom of Dumbarton Road and has a lovely interior, full of character which makes it a great place to eat. The pizza was well cooked, with a good sugo and had generous toppings. We went for option 2 (tomatoes, artichoke, pesto and peppers) and option 5 (olives and capers sans chovies). To drink we went for two bottles of estrella. I felt the food was reasonably priced with good, quick service. My only thought was the atmosphere was slightly lacking as we were only customers in, but this isn’t the fault of the restaurant. The Neapolitan pizza market in glasgow is very competitive due to the popularity of Paesano, but I’d urge anyone to give Basta a shot as it’s up there quality and flavour wise. I always like to support local businesses and will definitely be back!

Best pizza in Glasgow and well up there with pizzas I've had in Italy. Never feel bloated or lethargic after eating a Basta pizza as it's all so fresh. Really cool interior. Could not recommend more. Bring family and friends visiting from England here, we love it so much.

Really friendly alternative to bigger pizza chains in Glasgow with more of a welcoming, cozy atmosphere. Pizzas were great and plenty of good sides + drinks on offer. Great option for a casual dinner, date night or small group gathering.
