Glasgow restaurant
Babylon Supermarket is a Middle Eastern grocery and butchery on Commerce Street in Kinning Park, not a sit-down restaurant. The Haddad family (Iranian origin) opened it in 1999 to stock Turkish, Iranian and wider Middle Eastern ingredients that were hard to find locally. The store is organised around grocery, bakery, fresh vegetables and a fresh Halal meat counter (lamb, chicken, beef and more). The in-house bakery turns out Turkish and Arabic breads, hubos, baklava and Iranian pastries. Brands stocked include names such as Nefis, Ladin, Cortas and Madinah Delights. It is open daily from 9am to 8pm. Diners looking for specialised ingredients, fresh Halal meat or Middle Eastern bakery goods use it as a shop rather than a place to eat in.
Experience wasnt great, the stock they had was amazing dont get me wrong but when i was in about 2 weeks ago a worker was extremely disrespectful he had short hair and glasses the way he treated women was differently to how he treated male customers and seemed extremely impatient I usually come here monthly but after the way i have been treated im not sure if i want to ever come back again
