Reviews
The centre museum has a great history of the bagpipes as well as the local history of piping in the area. They also offer piping supplies and a library of piping scores. They offer practice rooms for pipers and present regular recitals of great bagpipers. As a piper's wife who drums in the pipe band, I couldn't help but be jealous...
Read on Google MapsLovely lunch, brunch menu. Staff were excellent, the food was really good, the white rioja I had was delicious, and the crannachan dessert generous and great to share. Perfect little lunch oasis.
Read on Google MapsWe cannot thank the team at the National Piping Centre enough for making our wedding weekend absolutely perfect! From start to finish, everything went off without a hitch, allowing us to feel completely relaxed and enjoy every moment of our special day. The venue looked stunning, the food was out of this world, and the care and attention we received throughout the weekend were second to none. It truly was the best day of our lives, and we owe it all to the tireless efforts of Emily, Natalie, and the entire team who went above and beyond to make everything so perfect. If you're looking for a venue that offers incredible service, breathtaking settings, and unforgettable memories, we can wholeheartedly recommend the National Piping Centre.
Read on Google MapsA hidden jewel of the city! Visited Glasgow for a second time and this place made my day! The story and background of the place is very unique and very important for the Scottish culture! Wishing all the best to the lads over there and I hope to relive an equal experience and learn more about bagpipes!🙏
Read on Google MapsSeverely underwhelming. First and most importantly, they do NOT offer guided tours (clearly advertised on the website) as a no-booking walk-in feature, only for larger groups. They'll let you into the exhibit for the £5 fee (which is the same as the guided tour is supposed to be so you figure the value for money here) The exhibit itself is a single-room tour through the history of bagpipes, but a lot of the items would benefit from a context (of a guide). There is also a 2.5min video, 30s of which are for some reason a Glenfiddich ad. Honestly, this would be a one-star if I didn't like bagpipes cause I guess I got to see some. Save your time and money for something else.
