Overview
Lucky B's Hot Chicken at 205 Fenwick Road in Giffnock brings authentic Nashville-style hot chicken to Glasgow's Southside, the brainchild of experienced restaurateurs Giancarlo Celino and Toni Dobrenko. Drawing inspiration from their time in America, they've created a thriving business that has attracted customers from across the city, with their Giffnock location being their original flagship restaurant that started it all. The secret to Lucky B's success lies in their meticulous preparation process - chicken is marinated in buttermilk and secret ingredients for 24 hours, then coated in their house dredge and fried until crispy and golden, before being finished with authentic Nashville-inspired spices. The result is what they claim to be the juiciest and most tender fried chicken on the planet, available in multiple heat levels to suit everyone from spice novices to heat-seeking enthusiasts. The menu features chicken tenders, wings, and a variety of creative combinations including burgers, wraps, burritos, and loaded sides like mac and cheese, waffle fries, and nachos. Customers can choose their heat level and pairing with an array of signature sauces including Lucky B's Sauce, Hot Honey, Garlic Mayo, Ranch, and more. They even offer chicken and waffle combinations, and a children's menu called "Little B's" with smaller portions perfect for families. Operating Sunday through Thursday from 12pm until 9pm, and Friday-Saturday until 10pm, Lucky B's offers convenient ordering through their app with a loyalty programme, or customers can opt for collection from their Giffnock location. With a 4-star rating from over 230 reviews, this vibrant and popular restaurant has become a beloved local institution, earning praise for its generous portions, fresh preparation, and fantastic flavour that keeps customers coming back.
Reviews
The chicken tenders were crispy on the outside and juicy inside, paired perfectly with the golden fries. The waffle was light, fluffy, and had just the right sweetness—an excellent treat to finish the meal. On top of that, the service was outstanding: friendly, fast, and very attentive. Everything came out fresh and hot, making the whole experience really enjoyable. Highly recommend.
Read on Google MapsNice taste! Soft juicy chicken But the burger was tiny! Loaded fries seemed massive but there was hardly any chicken on top. They probably just took one tender and chopped it super tiny Loved the American flavours, but wish they gave American portions too! 2 stars for service coz the lady was useless and rude
Read on Google MapsTried here for some lunch. Food was fresh. & good. But 3 stars Because there are other places to eat in Glasgow. Tater tot portions are small compared to other restaurants. The refill juice doesn't taste that good. A one time visit for me. I wouldn't return sorry guys. Cpl of chicken strips chopped up. On mac and cheese
Read on Google MapsCrispy chicken tenders paired with golden fries make a satisfying classic. The tenders are juicy inside with a crunchy coating, while the fries add a salty, comforting balance. Perfect for dipping in sauces, this combo delivers simple, flavorful comfort food that never disappoints. A timeless favorite for any craving.
Read on Google MapsMy family and I ate here tonight. Upon entering the premises there is a pleasant feeling as like you are entering a professional establishment. Once you have had a look around you realise the sitting area is small. The view into the kitchen isn't great and a member of staff walks out from the kitchen with an order of food in his hand. The staff walks upto his friend who is seated on a high stool and places the food on the table and decides to sit next to him for a chat and starts eating out the same plate. Then decides to walk back into the kitchen to serve and prepare food, very unprofessional. Prices aren't cheap, a can is £1.95! The tables are neglectfully sticky and you have to ask the staff to clean it otherwise I think it is just left. There is western music played for the customers and Indian music playing in the kitchen which is quite loud and as s result overpowers the music for the customers. However with all that said the food is fresh and nice! The young chap serving was nice.
