Atmosphere and service was top notch. Our beef was a little chewy, I managed to eat mine but my partner sent hers back and got the chicken instead. Staff were great and offered a free drink for the inconvenience. Quite pricey, but lovely place. Starters were really good!

My wife and I LOVED Glaschu! The whole experience was really nice. We had the whole restaurant to ourselves and the staff, Jasmine & David, were especially wonderful! Jasmine served us and we had a great time chatting with her about Scotland and our trip. They were helpful and professional! We had a great meal and a great bottle of wine. I’d highly recommend, especially if you’re looking for a more private dining experience or date night. It’s quiet and lovely.

Was meeting up with a group of friends we hadn't seen for a while. Drinks were amazing, food was amazing, staff were really lovely and friendly! Would really recommend this place. Can't wait to visit again!

I’m a longstanding Glaschu customer and wanted to tell the world how wonderful it truly is, so here goes. On this occasion I went for dinner with my husband, who wanted to treat me to something special, and it was. After a warm welcome from the handsome gentlemen waiters (sorry I didn’t take your names!) we opted for expertly mixed cocktails in the bar first which helped us relax and we had a lovely chat with a friendly couple, as the intimate surroundings encourage. We were then taken to our table with views of Exchange Square and the rest of the restaurant. Whilst it was completely full, the table had plenty of space and we weren’t in too of anyone. Our meal was delicious. A relaxed and tasty affair. For starters we had the lobster ravioli and scallops. A lovely precursor to the beef wellington with broccoli, lobster mac n cheese and fries. All beautifully cooked, and just to our taste. We were too full to eat anything else. Our waitress was Rachel and I can’t thank her enough for listening and guiding to our wants, and successfully delivering a wonderful experience. Overall another luxurious evening in one of the finest restaurant’s in Glasgow. Thank you Glaschu!

one more review August 2025 This time we had a family lunch, 4 adults, we opted for the three course lunch. What great value. This place is definitely amongst the best places in Glasgow for dining. The food is great, the atmosphere is great. **Update after our second visit Today we visited Glaschu for the second time. This time everything was very smoothe. The menu was great, a varied selection. We ate from the a la carte menu, however the lunch menu looked great too and reasonable at £20 for 2 courses and £30 for 3 courses. Our food was delicious. I had the lobster ravioli to start and my wife the crab tian, both 10/10! My wife had the venision as a main while I had the butter squash risotto, again delicious. Unfortunately for us it was too tasty and we ate more than we should have. The cheese selection was excellent and included some Scottish cheeses. Service was excellent, not rushed at all, service this time was 5*. After todays visit we would highly recommend a visit. If you want to diine on a saturday then I'd definetely recommend making a reservation. We will return soon. This was our first visit to Glaschu and we had high expectations from reading reviews online. Our arrival was not the best. There is a restricted access to the restaurant where you are required to press a buzzer for access. After 3 buzzes to get access on a cold , 3˚C windy Glasgow day we were eventually given access and told over the buzzzer "come up". Once we went up and arrived at the restaurant we were greeted by a member of staff who instructed us to wait there. This felt like sitting in a take-away waiting for our order! A short time later, maybe 15 minutes we were shown to our table. The restaurant is very nice and relaxing environment, however the dried flowers remind me of an 1980's hotel. We were given menus and a nice amount of time to read the extensive tempting menu. All choices sounded very tasty. Our appetisers arrived and they were very tasty and well presented. I asked for a alcohol free beer at this time. While eating our appetisers I saw other diners arrive at the reception. I saw many members of staff completely ignore the people waiting who had obviously just been buzzed to "come up". When our appitisers were finished and cleared away I had to remind our server that we had still not recieved the alcohol free beer. The starters arrived and looked very appitising , we were very impressed. Again newly arrived diners were seen at the reception and more or less ignored by staff. I must add this was not a very busy service. Our main cousres arrived and like before looked and tasted delicious. Our overall impression from our experience was it was "okay". The four star review is for the menu, presentation , quality and taste of the food. The front of house staff and waiters, except our waiter, were very much lacking in customer service. Will we return? Simply , yes. For the food. For the welcome and service mmmmm, not so sure.
