After a crazy work day just fancied some chips for the train ride home. The queue was not long and the staff were fast to move people on. I had about 7 mins until my train. It was 925pm so not late. Ordered a large chips with lots of salt and vinegar. Paid with cash. Got the right change back. I got the chips and walked off. On the train speaking to a chap who also just ordered we both noticed something My large was the same size as his box and both of us could not taste much salt or vinegar He said he ordered small chips The portions were about the same size. I maybe had a few extra chips Both our chips were a little overcooked and dry. I didn’t eat all of them as they got worse . I have had chips from here before and they were better. I would say if you order food and take away check the order for size and also ensure they add enough condiments Got ripped off I think.
Read on Google Maps"I ordered the delicious combo and was pleasantly surprised to get 2 pieces of fish! The breaded version was perfectly crispy while the original was wonderfully tender and flaky. The portions were incredibly generous - so much food that I couldn't even finish the fries! The staff was absolutely lovely and so helpful. Next time I'll definitely switch to the salad since they offer free substitutions. Such great value and amazing service - highly recommend!"
Read on Google MapsI was really looking forward to a fish supper upon my arrival in Glasgow, but unfortunately, it didn’t live up to expectations. Despite the restaurant not being very busy, the service was noticeably slow. I came in hoping to be wowed in this legendary place, but I was not.
Read on Google MapsRead about blue Lagoon history and good reviews about this branch fish and chips. It's terribly wrong. No one was dining in the eatery. However, a handful of takeouts can be seen. Never thought much about it since another branch had quite a fair bit of crowd, and I wouldn't mind a quiet dinner near the station. Bought the combo for both brradcrumbs and batter. - bread was stale - breadcrumbs fish n chip was overfried. But the fish tastes fine. - The batter was slightly salty as I would have liked it, and the fish didn't taste good. I'm not sure why it tastes different from the fish serve in breadcrumb - The curry was terrible. Typical curry from a block(think of Japanese curry) Tartar sauce was ok Only silver lining - Service was good. As it is my first visit to glasgow, I am totally disappointed with my first fish and chips experience in the UK. And I cant understand how did this branch received so many reviews yet not a single soul dining in.
Read on Google MapsOut of ten I wouldn’t even give this one… meant to be black pudding. Just know it’s deep fried. That’s all I can taste
