The Roll Shop is a sit-in and takeaway breakfast cafe on Springfield Road in Newbank, right by Celtic Park and the Emirates Arena. It is built around Scottish morning rolls — bacon, sausage, black pudding doubles and the like — plus full breakfasts. Regulars often name the Godfather breakfast and a decent cup of coffee. Hours are daytime only: listings cluster around early morning until mid-afternoon (roughly 6–8am open, closing around 2–3pm; weekday Tuesday openings vary by source). Order in person, by phone (0141 556 2984), or via Scoffable for delivery. No evening service and no table booking culture — turn up or order ahead. Glasgow City’s Food Hygiene Information Scheme lists a Pass (inspection 27 May 2025). Dalmarnock railway station is about a 10-minute walk toward the stadium end of the East End; Bridgeton is a bit further along London Road. Expect queues and parking pressure on Celtic match days.
I visit this shop fairly often as I work at Celtic Park quite regularly. The ladies who run it are always friendly and serve you quickly. As far as prices are concerned they are the cheapest in the area, but not at the expense of their food, which is very tasty.
