Overview

Spitfire Coffee Roasters at 55 High Street in Glasgow – because when you name your coffee shop after a legendary WWII fighter plane, you're making it VERY clear that you take caffeine seriously. With an impressive 4.6-star rating from nearly 1,200 reviews, Spitfire isn't just good coffee, it's coffee that could probably power actual flight if we're being honest about it. Here's what makes Spitfire special: they're coffee roasters, which means they're not just serving someone else's beans and calling it a day. They're roasting their own stuff, offering everything from B52 Brazilian to Colombian, Burundi, Indonesian, and even Mexican Decaf (for those rare souls who don't want to be vibrating by lunchtime). The "Gunnerbean" makes an appearance because of course it does, and their prices range from £10-£14.50 because quality coffee comes at a price (and it's worth it). Located on High Street in the heart of Glasgow, Spitfire is perfectly positioned for that mid-day coffee run that becomes a daily ritual without you even realizing it happened. They've got an online shop because apparently people love their coffee enough to buy it in bulk (we respect this level of commitment), plus they've got merchandise including trucker caps and even Scotland's Indy Coffee Guide (because if you're going to be a coffee snob, you might as well be an educated one). With nearly 1,200 people giving them high marks and a name that promises power and precision, Spitfire Coffee Roasters is doing exactly what their name suggests: delivering top-tier coffee experiences that give you the energy to tackle whatever the day throws at you. Moderate pricing, excellent quality, and a 4.6-star reputation – that's a trifecta worth waking up for.

Thank you guys so much for letting me and my friends stay and study here for so long today. Coffee was sooooo good, and the breakfast was nice and filling. The staff were endlessly kind and patient. The design of the place is so beautiful. The atmosphere was so good the entire time (and I was here today for like 5 hours haha). Music was good too. I highly highly recommend!!!! 💖🌟

What a joy it was to enjoy breakfast here - the manager was so warm and friendly, welcoming us to the new premises. Best flat white we had in Glasgow! Salmon on sourdough was super as well as the Scottish breakfast. Generous servings and great vibes.

Great breakfast! Poached egg on sourdough...Low key morning. Wish i had pictures to see what certain things were for the tourist in me, but delicious.

The coffee, breakfast, and food are delightful, although the prices are a bit high. However, the freshness and deliciousness are undeniable, and the service teams provide excellent care. The location is also quite appealing.

Lovely and attentive service with a nice breakfast selection, and solid coffee. Had scrambled eggs on (fantastic) sourdough toast with a generous add-on of smoked salmon. Flat white beverage. Very kind folks who answered several of my questions -- and a lovely, light space!
