San Sebastián menu (11th October) - Firstly, excellent service. Showed up late, to meet my parents who had already started eating and they were able to catch me up seamlessly while delivering some coffee and aperitifs as well. Floor manager, servers and cooks were all on point to get me scran and wine pronto! Food was a great blend of flavours, ranging from frothy tatties, to mushrooms painted in spices and even a splash of caviar. If you are looking for variety and a taste of everything this is an affordable way to go. Even the coffee was nice! The wine / cocktail pairings are a must. I went for the wine pairing, and each glass balanced out the flavours of the dish. There was a specific wine that came with the mushrooms which tasted earthy and completely unlike any of the other glasses. Fair dooz to the sommelier. The bill came to around £93 per head, which was an absolute steal for the quality of the service, the flavours on the plates and the lovely atmosphere they’ve cultivated in the room. It’s not an everyday meal, but once in a while this place can really deliver a special night. Cheers!
Read on Google MapsOverall fantastic experience and would highly recommend. The food was brilliant, like an art. The flavours were perfect. Unfortunately we weren't served out pairing wine when the meal came out and were almost finished the meal before they came. The staff were extremely friendly, welcoming, positive and very kind. Considerate to the situation with the late drinks understanding they should have come at the same time offering us compensation without us even asking. The overall atmosphere was good. However it didn't meet my expectations as I was thinking the restaurant would have been more immersive in the space theme. It was really only the food itself that was themed. The cocktails tasted great and paired well with the food but they didn't have any story or theme like the food either. Surprisingly very filling! Slow to start wanting more but the "mains" in the middle of the experience were hearty. My favourite was course 2 and 6.
Read on Google MapsOne of the best restaurant's I have ever been to! I made a reservation to try their new space-themed, tasting menu. The moment I walked in I was greeted with kindness and warmth. The hostess was very friendly and helpful, taking my jacket etc. The table I was sat at was very comfy, with many cushions to relax into. With a dark, atmospheric interior, it was one of the best designed restaurants - no doubt. Brilliantly put together, and somewhere which was a pleasure to dine in. My waiter was brilliant, very attentive and friendly whilst keeping professional. Not to mention how quick and seamless the service was. Despite being out of my comfort zone, the food was delicious and presented beautifully (I have attached images below). Each with a quirky twist to the dish. I highly recommend giving this place a try, you cannot go wrong. Great food. Great service. Great experience.
Read on Google MapsThe San Sebastian experience was lovely - each course was very tasty, and beautifully presented. We had the cocktail pairing which all went well, though the White Russian could have been a bit creamier. Every member of staff was very pleasant and helpful.
Read on Google MapsI’ve enjoyed many a tasting menu, but I’ve never laughed so much, and still been smiling about it days later! What an experience to embrace. A standard menu would involve us being told fancy ingredients, blinded by the info, that I forget before eating. This was so much more fun. To see, then taste and decipher ourselves was brilliant fun & really generated conversation and a wee challenge. The blindfold & headphones were a hilarious addition, I had food off the plate & on the floor (sorry). I’m unsure if it enhanced my taste buds, but certainly my entertainment value. The ambience, staff, presentation and value all impressed me very much, that I’ll be raving about my experience… until I go again to rave about the next imaginative idea by yourselves. I always wanted to try Six by Nico, but living in Inverness & timings when down the road just never worked, so I’m so delighted this was possible. Absolutely loved it!
