I took my South African friend here for his birthday. We shared the Braai (charcoal BBQ) platter which was huge and super delicious. The meat tasted marinated and was perfectly cooked. I read in reviews it was BYOB but that's not correct, they have a selection of South African alcoholic and soft drinks. My friend was especially impressed with the authentic peppermint crisp tart (a popular dessert over there). Apparently the chocolate has been discontinued in South African but the lady who runs the place knows other places to find it. Will definitely be coming back here again to try some more of the menu.

The food is really good but the waiting time is just too long only one person serving almost upto 20 people he is the one taking in orders the chef and at the checkout that’s why the service is very slow

First time eating south African & with a really mixed group. One of my south African friends Jason raves about the food & hospitality, he wasn't wrong! I have spicy chicken wings & ox tail, we all had something different. It was a little cold as we went early in the day & the food took some time to come out, but it was worth it!!! Tasty hearty food & the BYOB suited us to a T. Will come back for sure. Great vibe, friendly staff, relaxed fun accommodating atmosphere. Thanks for a memorable day. My big group loved it x

If you’re a Saffa, this hits the spot. The food is an authentic taste of home, Gogo and the staff are a treat, offering home grown humour and banter while feeling like you’re at a family / friends home for dinner. If you’re not South African, Shosholoza offers the same authenticity in terms of replicating our food and hospitality culture. Can’t wait to come back and try the rest of the menu, but the Bunny was overboard in the best possible way - just look at this thing! Soft, melt-in-your-mouth lamb, with all the gravy you could dream of, and the freshest bread. One to rival any Durban establishment.

Food was pretty good. However having to wait 2hrs for food was far too long 😔 The waitress couldn’t have been more apologetic but I think due to cooking to order, we had to wait an excessive amount of time. Which is a real same
