Highly recommended! This is an amazing restaurant. I visited on my last trip to Glasgow and was once again impressed by the wonderful food and atmosphere. We were seated in a private and quiet spot, where we could still enjoy the laughter and chatter around us while keeping our own space peaceful. We tried the steak and sausage pie, haggis, mussels, along with some drinks and desserts. The quality of the food was excellent, and the portions were generous. The staff were friendly, welcoming, and professional, always attentive as they moved around to look after guests. This place has become a must-visit for me whenever I’m in Glasgow.
Read on Google MapsWe visited Mharsanta in Glasgow and had a truly wonderful dining experience that captured the essence of traditional Scottish cuisine. The restaurant has a warm and welcoming atmosphere, with a modern yet rustic design that feels both cozy and stylish. It’s the kind of place where you can relax, enjoy great food, and soak in a bit of local charm. We ordered the famous Cullen Skink — or as we jokingly called it, the “Colin Skank” — and it was absolutely delicious. This hearty smoked haddock soup is a Scottish classic, and Mharsanta serves one of the best versions we’ve ever had.
Read on Google MapsWe turned up without a reservation but they fitted us in, even tho the restaurant was fully booked. Great service, staff knew what was in the food so my allergy was no problem. Lamb rump with veg was outstanding , can’t recommend more highly and live music to boot !
Read on Google MapsTook my mum here for a belated birthday lunch and had their very reasonably priced lunch menu. The food was super fresh and delicious - great offering of real Scottish food and very friendly staff. We booked ahead and they had the table ready and waiting with a jug of cold tap water for us! Would visit again when I come back, as I don't live in Scotland anymore so this was a real taste of home!
Read on Google MapsWow! This was my first time eating vegetarian haggis, and it was absolutely delicious. I am visiting from Montreal and I so wish this restaurant was in Montreal. Service was very good. There is a lot of natural light from the large windows, with a pleasant view of the Merchant Square. A couple who had just gotten married were having their wedding luncheon in the restaurant, which added to my enjoyment. 🥰🥰 I wish I had had room for more food because I would’ve loved to try other dishes from this kitchen! Alas! I am leaving Glasgow tomorrow.
