Came here for our first wedding anniversary dinner. Did not disappoint!! Everything was perfection, tasty cocktails and was reasonably priced for a more upmarket evening out. Service was great too
Read on Google MapsReally good atmosphere and service. Went for steak, frites and wine lunch deal. Really good for the service they provide. A must try spot in Glasgow. Recommend to try the unlimited steak deal as well. Tried the Onion soup, which is definitely a must try. Oysters for the price point were really refreshing.
Read on Google MapsA dreich Saturday in Glasgow is often an opportunity to dine in one of its iconic locations. Princess Square is one such location. It has a variety of restaurants that are set in a bustling mall with some high end shopping for the ladies. I would suggest booking as we were shown to a semi- private type of seating. However, some of the seating is perfect for those who wish to be seen; plenty of people watching going on for those who need to show off their designer clothes or bags. I opted for the salad nicoise a side of fries and a sparkling water. The salad leaves were crisp and the eggs cooked perfectly to medium. The olives were delicious and the green beans crisp (blanched, I'd guess). The new potatoes still had their flavour and the french dressing was light and not overbearing, perhaps the sun-dried tomatoes gave it a needed contrast. Malheuresement, Mon Ami, did not have the same luck! Foodie-snob-hack: never get pasta outside of a good Italian ristorante! He chose the macaroni with a side of fries. Washed down with a french white wine which for a house wine was excellent. He was sipping on a negroni when I arrived - made with vermouth, but not with Punt e Mes! The macaroni was disappointing and he was unable to finish the dish. The service was good and they very kindly didn't charge us for the macaroni. A nice touch. The menu was good but didn't have enough wheat free options but that's not unusual. For the location and ambience it was reasonably priced and managed to strike the balance between subdued lighting and an accident waiting to happen. I would recommend a visit.
Read on Google MapsFirst time dining here and will definitely be back! The food was amazing, I had the Sunday roast option (beef) my partner ordered from the main menu. The French onion soup .. wow! All the staff were so lovely especially Christina who was serving us. We try a new restaurant in Glasgow every month and this has been my favourite of 9 so far!
Read on Google MapsCame here on Sunday the 24th of November for the set two course menu and it was definitely more than enough. The french onion soup was delicious, by far the best I've had. The main course steak and fries was delicious we, added on two sides of mash and ar so the chips never got a look in as the garlic mash was lovely . Service was lovely very friendly and cheerful 😊 the atmosphere was warm and cosy especially with how cold it had been outside was a great place to heat up with a glass of wine .
