It is a fast-food shawarma shop rather than a sit-down restaurant: chicken and lamb shawarma wraps and boxes, charcoal-grilled mixed grills, falafel, burgers, loaded fries, and sides such as hummus, fattoush, tabbouleh and moutabal. The owners say the bread is baked fresh on site daily. Hajar says it won Best Kebab at the 2018 Dine In Awards, was Highly Recommended at the 2019 Scottish Entertainment Awards, and was Highly Commended at the 2024 British Kebab Awards. The Halal Glasgow guide names it its best budget halal pick, with wraps from about £6, and Uber Eats lists this branch as halal. absolutely love hajar shawarma, the food is a solid 10/10. especially the mix grill platter, which is so budget friendly and it tastes absolutely amazing, me and my family are regular customers and we for sure will keep coming back. special shoutout to chef Kamaal, and Shaban, for their spectacular service. Definitely do recommend.
