Overview

Eda Restaurant on High Street – bringing the flavours of Istanbul to Glasgow since 2019, because Turkish cuisine deserves the spotlight and this place is doing it absolutely right. With a stellar 4.5 rating from 770 reviews, they're not messing around – they're serving authentic Turkish tradition with the kind of love that makes you forget you're in Glasgow and not Istanbul. Embark on a culinary journey to Istanbul (without needing a passport). They're serving vibrant flavours with tantalizing cold and hot meze, succulent grilled kebabs like Adana and Iskender, freshly baked pide bursting with flavour, and heavenly Turkish desserts like baklava and künefe that'll make your taste buds sing. From Çorba (that satisfying authentic Turkish soup) to crispy prawns, Arnavut Ciğeri (pan-fried lamb liver with sweet red onions), and Sigara Böreği (pastries shaped like cigars, filled with spiced lamb mince) – they've got everything covered. Open every single day from noon until 11pm (because Turkish cravings don't follow a schedule), located at 8 High Street in Glasgow G1 1NL. They offer both dine-in and takeaway, plus they've got their own app for ordering because convenience matters. Reviewers rave about the huge portions, authentic flavours, that giant meter-long mixed grill, and the fact they serve Efes beer (the most refreshing beer ever, apparently). This is the closest thing to actually being in Turkey itself – genuine ambiance, friendly chef, enormous portions, and flavours that transport you. Ring them on 0141 552 2843, book a table, or order online and prepare to come hungry.

Ordered the Adana which was okay and the kunafeh which was great. The service is immaculate - we were seated quickly, the food preparation was prompt and the place looks clean. We were served by Madeline who was lovely. Cost £30 - 1 Adana, 1 kunafeh and 2 Turkish teas

A fantastic place. Just had the best meal. Everything was superb. The lamb chops were the best I’ve tasted.

I recently visited and tried the Surf n Tough and the Wrap. Both dishes were good overall, with well-seasoned flavors and a nice presentation. However, I’ve had better ones elsewhere. The restaurant had a great ambiance, and the service was friendly, making it a pleasant dining experience. While the food was enjoyable, it didn’t completely stand out. Still, it's a decent spot to try Turkish cuisine!

I must say, the food was absolutely perfect truly amazing! However, I did have one negative experience with a waiter (the one wearing a black shirt and has beard, who seemed to be the head waiter). Unfortunately, his response to our request felt a bit dismissive, which was disappointing. Despite the fantastic food, this interaction might make us reconsider returning. I hope this feedback helps improve the overall experience for other customers
