Overview

Café Andaluz’s city-centre branch opened on St Vincent Place in November 2006, part of the wider Café Andaluz / DRG group that started in Glasgow’s West End in 2002. It sits between Buchanan Street and George Square: Spanish tapas, sangria and a lantern-lit dining room aimed at sharing tables rather than formal courses. Expect the usual Andaluz spread: tortilla, patatas bravas, croquetas, gambas, chorizo, vegetarian and vegan plates. They recommend about three tapas per person. Lunch and pre-theatre style set menus (any three tapas from around £18pp on published Glasgow menus) are a regular deal when available; full à la carte runs higher once you add wine or sangria. Book online (portal caps at 10 covers; larger groups use the group enquiry form). Walk-ins are taken when possible but Fridays and Saturdays fill fast; they hold booked tables for 15 minutes. Optional 10% service charge goes to staff. Open daily 10am–10pm, closed Christmas Day and New Year’s Day. Queen Street station and Buchanan Street subway are a short walk.

I received a gift voucher for this cafe. Took my partner. We got the 3 tapas Sunday lunch. 6 different dishes, and they were all absolutely delicious. The staff are friendly and accomdating. The service was perfect. I will be recommending this place, and I'll definitely be back.

Had a really good meal here...fantastic value, bread, olives, chillies then 3 tapas dishes followed by dessert for a set price. The dishes were really filling and packed full of flavour. Thoroughly enjoyed the food and will definitely come back when I am next in Glasgow.

What an amazing place to visit. When we arrived we were welcomed warmly into the restaurant. We were offered two tables which was nice and once we sat down we were quickly able to order our drinks. We were.guided on the amount of tapas and paella to order and I must say the food was fantastic. The waitress was also great, making some great jokes while serving us well. Overall I'd highly recommend and I look forward to my next visit.

We were just walking by and looking for breakfast. It's a miracle that we came in. We were attracted by the sign "BREAKFAST". Very nice interior, polite and courteous staff, delicious food, beautiful presentation. The breakfast was great! Thank you.
